Another sad non-adblock user :p

I'm on Opera 12.02 with no extensions loaded. How come I haven't seen ads on youtube in a very long time? I know I tried adblock at one point (for FF?) but it's not loaded on this.

Just tried to watch a video on my phone. No adblock so it started playing an ad. And it kept buffering! It was only supposed to be 17 seconds long but after stuttering through the first 10 seconds I just gave up.

If they have so much money to pay people for their shitty ads, why not put some of it toward decent servers? Fuck YouTube, never going without an ad blocker again.

Adblock + VideoDownloadHelper. Never had a problem with YouTube, except for it defaulting to the lowest quality like someone else already said. Not really a problem for me, it's a free and awesome site.

I use those too but would not say never a problem. YouTard occasionally makes changes that break VDH downloadability and thus requires waiting for an update fix. Defaulting to lower quality is preferable 'cause higher would just mean longer wait times for the aforementioned FauxHD experience, if allowed to continue. Otherwise, it has no affect on download options.

opera by default blocks a certin set of ads and popups, you can further modify it with an ad blocking addon, its pretty much the same one FF uses, pulls from EZlist

Adblock messes youtube up and videos stop buffering while paused. Streams stop mid-way to buffer a lot more too. As soon as I blocked adblcok on youtube, it started working fine again. It's pretty easy to just browse something else during the short commercial, and most let you skip them after 5 seconds anyway.

That is easily fixable with a greasemonkey script in firefox.
