Gateway ALWAYS seems to do this. It started with the GF4 Ti44/4600 "deal" a few years ago. Be ready to wait until hell itself freezes over then thaws out again for your card.

Oh how quickly people forget....

How were you able to opt out of taxes even though you are in CA?
Did you choose education as a customer type? In that case don't you need to prove that you are buying for an educational institution?

Can anyone help?

Oh well. At $65 below MSRP who cares. It's definitely the XT PE. Placing order now. Though I am kind of worried about their very low ratings at ResellerRatings.com, 1.2 out of 10.

Schweet! I had one on order with CDW for $469 shipped but they were showing 2 more weeks before receiving any. I cancelled that one and placed an order with Gateway since it's cheaper and hopefully they actually have them in stock. Thanks aggressor!

"You aren't even a Platinum member..." -- Is that supposed to be some sort of nerd insult? Yeah, you're not a platinum member so what you say doesn't count!

I know what you are talking about... I ordered the Ti4400 from them a few years ago becasuse the price was like $50 less than everywhere else. Well, I waited ... and waited ... and waited. Order got canceled, then they took the card off their web site, then it came back, then EVERYONE had to call to get their orders reinstated ... then we all waited some more... and finally they came through!

They will get a lot of orders on this card and will probably get like 50 units in and then the backorder thing will drag out.

Not trying to be a buzz killer but the poster above is right. For me, I didn't mind waiting because
I like to look forward to things. Good luck to everyone. I hope it comes ASAP. I can't wait to hear your opinions of the card!

BTW what's the difference between the xt and the xt pe, clock speed?

Tom

The X800 Pro only has 12 pipelines, the X800 XT PE has 16. This makes a huge difference in the latest games... not so much in older games.

My question is the difference between the X800XT and the X800XT PE.

And I addressed that. Check this link http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=16206. It's the only thing I've seen on a regular XT version of the X800 so far.

No you did NOT . . . FIX your LINK :p

Evidently the ONLY difference between the 'XT' and the 'XT-PE' is the naming convention by ATI's partners . . . they are the SAME (or so the OPINION in GH goes, look for a CURRENT thread by NSF4) ;)

You spoke to a "real" person? Shame on you for using that dated technology. Anyhow did you get any information from the "real" person regarding, stock, delivery date, is this a bait deal?, etc. Thanks

No need to google for the free shipping coupon code, that code is on the shopping cart page after you add the item. How nice of them to make it that much easier to find.
