I'm not sure if this is the XT, or the XT PE, since in one location it states: PRODUCT DESCRIPTION ATI RADEON X800 XT Platinum Edition - graphics adapter - ATI RADEON X800 XT - 256 MB, yet everywhere else it says just "XT". Good deal either way, it's actually in stock.

Edit:

After looking up the manufacturer part number from gateway and looking it up at ATI.com, it looks like its the XT PE.

It says Platinum Edition in the description, but don't they retail for $499? Seems legit...

It looks like its the Platinum Edition, the part #s match up with ATI.com. It really is a great deal, too bad I'm $60 bucks short at the moment 🙁

The site says ships in 2-3 days. How is that possible? Are they shipping the X800 XT Platinum edition cards already?

Someone please confirm...

Gateway is a major OEM purchaser/vendor. So more than likely stuff may trickle down there first before it hits much smaller market-meaning YOU and me.

I heard it's really the PRO and not the XT PE. Be cautious before ordering.

I thought so too, but look at the Mfg Part# on Gateways site, then look at ATI.com. It matches up with the XT Platinum Edition.

This is so tempting -_-;;

As my roommate reminded me...spending $435 for something that can't do anything on its own, is...yeah, ya know. They just don't understand 😉.

Edit:
Ah too late, I pulled the trigger. I went all the way and also chose overnight shipping ^_^b

People over in the rage3d forums talked to Gateway reps and confirmed that it is an XT PE.

Awsome deal... Don't forget to use the Free Shipping Coupon... Do a google search...

Also... It says...

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION ATI RADEON X800 XT Platinum Edition - graphics adapter - ATI RADEON X800 XT - 256 MB
RAMDAC CLOCK SPEED 400 MHz

So, 1 The discriptions are Awsome! Looks great....

Never mind ... That is right... Check out this LINK

But all in all I don't see how it could be a pro when it's got XT written all over it.

Anyway with the free ship coupon, it makes it a pretty sweet deal!

BTW, if you do order this take a Screen shot and save because they will be pulling this with Fatwallet gets wiff of this.... Thanks for the deal aggressor

damn you!!! . . . 😛

. . . umn thanks, i mean.

(i ordered) 😱

😀

i really wanted a nVidia 6800 - the new drivers come out today that are supposed to improve performance by (up 2) 30% . . . i guess i could always cancel or send it back . . . 🙁

What's up with their [possible] 15% restocking fee? Always?

but $434 for the XT PE is a real deal . . . cheaper than a 9800xt (not 4 long) and about what the x800PRO is goin for!

Seems like ATI is always 1 step ahead of nvidia, they must have a spy working for ati in nvidia headquarters! LOL From what I have seen for benchmarks the x800xt pe breaks all sorts of records in benchmarking, I hope this card is worth it! now I got a like new 9800xt I have to sell.

I bit. I was going to purchase the Pro or XT but this just put me over the edge.

If this deal pulls through I have to figure out who to give my 9700pro to. One of my brothers are going to get lucky :>
