Tiger King on Netflix ?/10 only watched two episodes so far but WATCH IT.
It is about the nutjobs that keep exotic animals mainly big cats. All of them are wack jobs and it is terrifying that these people are out there.

Uncut Gems was terrible. I think the critics gave this good reviews cuz they want everyone to believe they're hip to the whole "art" scene, but its just a horrible film. I cant even rate it.

Altered Carbon Resleeved
7/10
Animation. Action. SF.
Very enjoyable for those who like the Altered Carbon universe of the Netflix series.
Takeshi Kovacs again, after the fall of Stronghold but before Altered Carbon S01 on Harland.
He is on Latimer and protects a yakuza girl from killers.
Why do they want to kill her? Well there are some twists so you'll see.
Graphics and animation are amazing and the story is good too.
But it's basically an action flix, it lacks in depth compared to AC S01 and S02 to which i would give an 8/10.

Watched it tonight and thought it was fantastic. Sandler was great as well. My wife literally said to me "I feel anxious watching this" and I thought it did it's job.

Frozen II 6/10. Plot was lacking and I feel the VAs mailed it in.
My son loves this movie and the songs have grown on me quite a bit. I like the music more than the original.

Kingdom 8/10

It's honestly what The Walking Dead director should watch and steal from. Lots of zombies, odd-but-colorful wardrobes, interesting characters, and weird ancient culture make for an interesting show. I watched the first season when it was first released, and now getting in the 2nd season.

Witcher (1st half) 8/10

(havent watched the 2nd half yet.)

if someone here didn't mention that he was Superman, I wouldn't have known. I guess white hair wigs doesnt just make women with dragons unrecognizable.

I liked the split timeline narration. it was novel and it worked.
also, the liberal female nudity didn't hurt in keeping me engaged.

surprised there wasn't a nude scene with the chick that bought him a beer in the 1st episode.
finished Season 1.
for the last 1/2, I'd give it 7/10.

the Gold dragon episode was stupid.
the sorceress has great sword skills to defeat mercenaries that out number her? why not just use her magic instead?

and the special effects was blah.
looked like some guy in a cheesy human sized gold dragon costume.

in the season finale, why didn't that sorceress even carry a sword when she knew the army was going to attack?

I'll have to check that out.

Ended up watching the latest Star Wars. Eh it was alright I guess. I liked The Force Awakens a lot more. I'd give it maybe 6/10.

I thought it was an excellent movie. I kept seeing the "this movie made me feel so anxious" comments but it didn't really do it for me in that regard.

Now Green Room, that movie had me feeling pretty anxious nearly the entire way through.

Yeah I didn't get anxious but the way it's filmed is definitely trying to make you stressed/anxious. They did a good job making the viewer feel how Sandler's character lives - super fast paced and stressful.

In an effort to catch up on my John Waters experience I finally watched Hairspray.
It was not great, but I see why people liked it.
5/10

Next Up: Crybaby.

State shut down tonight at 8, finally caught Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker. Waaaaaay better than I expected! I'd say in the new trilogy, this is #1, the first one is #2, and the middle was is a far #3.

I'll give it an 8/10. One, because I didn't buy some of the acting somtimes. Two, because they didn't quite nail the old-style feel that wrapped you up in that super-fun epic feeling, was still a bit too modern at times for my tastes (although lightyears better than the Jar Jar Binks trilogy!). They got close, but some of it was more homage than actually plugging into the awesomeness, kind of like how BTTF 3 was fun, but it wasn't BTTF, you know? But still, overall, VERY good job. Plenty of twists I wasn't expecting. Graphics were stunning. I liked the new little cone-head bot.

1 - "Rise of Skywalker" = Kylo, not Rey

#2 - Rey being Palpatine's grandkid. Noice.

#3 - Han being in the movie. Toooooootally not expecting that!

#4 - Palpatine still being alive. Although I would have liked a more technical explanation on how that happened.

#5 - Oh SNAP that was a big gun! Star Destroyer death stars nooooooooooo!

#6 - Lots of nice little touches, like Luke's old X-Wing

Jumanji Next Level - 7/10 - more of the same but even a bit more over top. It was a fun ride though.

Finally going to watch 1917 because Redbox got it this morning. I'm excited to watch it tonight.

I will let you know. If streaming quality of sound was up to par with bluray, I probably wouldn't bother renting things as much. That's why I haven't rented Invisible Man or The Hunted yet for $20. If it had good sound I would have. But I'd rather wait a few months to see it in it's proper fashion.

That's a good point about sound and streaming. I just have my TV speakers but am thinking of maybe getting a sound bar when I finally get around to setting up my new TV stand.

But I dunno if that would really be much of a benefit. IMO my TV speakers ain't that bad (55" Samsung).

I loved the first season of Mr. Robot but stopped watching like 1/2 through season 2 I think. When things kind of started to get a bit fake towards the end of the first season and we find out about the big "twist" if you want to call it that, that is when I just started to lose interest a bit. I'm pretty sure you know what I mean by that too.
I thought the beginning of season 2 was really wishy-washy since the cat was out of the bag. However, it picked up nicely by the end and I LOVED season 3. Hang in there, if you can.

Unfortunately I stopped watching it years ago so I doubt I will get back into it at this point. I'd have to rewatch it all to remember what happened.

1917 - 9/10 - awesome movie and highly recommended. I only took off one point because I would have loved to see ore battle scenes, but I completely get why they did what they did in this movie. It just made me want more. The sound and music in this movie was fantastic too. Loved everything about it.
