Umbrella Academy 8/10. Would be a 10/10 but i have predicted quite a bit. It steals some ideas from other universes too. Still good and fun to watch.

Parasite -- 7/10

Had a coupon for a $1.99 Google Play Movies rental so decided to try this one and see what all the fuss was about.

It started out good and I enjoyed it up until about the very end, when
the dad went into the basement after killing Mr. Park (which I thought was kinda weird in itself but I guess he just hated the guy for saying he stank? Lol).

Maybe it's a real deep meaning behind the end and I'm just too dumb to get it, which is def possible. I thought it was very well made and acted, I just didn't like the end at all.

Ding, ding, ding, ding. Scroll up and read my review of the movie. I had the exact feeling like you. The whole movie was very darn good except the part(s) you mentioned at the end. I feel it was not necessary because the nature of the family, They were just trying to claim out of the sewer, not that kind of behavior at the end.

There Will Be Blood again 9/10.Great film.

I just watched this for the first time about a week ago. I didnt care much for it at all. 4/10. Seemed to really have no point. Acting was good, but outside that it was rather boring. I remember all the hype from when it was released and won awards, that is what made me click on it. Wasnt worth it lol IMO

Binge watched Game of Thrones this past week. Loved it. I thought season 8 wasn't that bad.

Jeoffry was pretty interesting I thought.

You watched ALL of GoT in a week? That is some serious watching. Overall i enjoyed it, but the last few seasons were meh. Mostly watched it just to finish it. Jeoffry was amazing though. Hated him so much you want to punch him thru the screen. Sign of a well acted part lol

No thank you. It was a movie without any point. Just things happening. Not my type of movie. Great acting cant save a bad movie.

It's a cautionary tale. You'll appreciate it more if you stop seeing it as an attempt to entertain you and start seeing the real-life parallels it's supposed to put a spotlight on. Eventually you'll see the point. Everyone appreciates it more on a second viewing.

Yeah I think it might be better liked after a second viewing.

I really like the movie. It's been a while since I've seen it, but as I remember it seemed to be a cautionary tale about greed (at the least, anyway).

Plus, c'mon, DDL? Win

Color Out of Space - 8/10 - It's got Nicholas Cage, and he does his Cage Rage multiple times. Can't really ask for too much more than that. Was more on the weird side than creepy, but still a cool/unique movie.

JOJO Rabbit 7/10

Some great performances from several actors, with a solid script and special effects.

I'm about 3 episodes into Altered Carbon S2. I'm not sure I can go on with this season. The acting is just terrible. Pretty much everyone on this show is bad. IDK, maybe it's the writing or something, but everyone seems to be acting like a robot. Just kind of rigid and no real emotion. I thought S1 was pretty good and was looking forward to this season but man it's tough...

5/10 for now.

Oh yeah sorry, I saw it a while ago should have mentioned it.
Boss is probably the only thing decent he made after Frasier.
Hank was just plain awful and Back To You was kind of OK but got generic after just a few episodes. Patricia Heaton was good though, and eventually she got The Middle which I think was awesome.

Patricia Heaton is currently on a standard sitcom-with-laughtrack and its terrible. The premise is good (she's a middle aged woman who just got out of med school) but the writing is just like every other crap show today.

While Carol's Second Act earns high marks for bringing Patricia Heaton front and center, awkward plotting and lackluster jokes hold it back from living up to its star's high standards.

--------------

Dont know if I mentioned it but The Unicorn is pretty good and they just wrapped up season 1 with eighteen episodes.
Its not particularly exciting or side-splittingly hilarious, but its got excellent characters and strong writing as well as Walton Goggins being a suburban dad which by itself is pretty funny.

Uncut Gems - 8.5/10. Adam Sandler is really out of shape, but his girlfriend in the movie was really hot.

Yeah, they took something with good with even more potential and screwed it up. Too bad.
