Actually forgot about one...

Ant-Man -- 7/10
I thought it was far more interesting than the 2nd Avengers. I really, really, REALLY wish it was someone other than Paul Rudd, but he didn't bother me as much as I was expecting. I'd watch it again.

Finally watched the evil dead trilogy-

Evil Dead - 8/10
Evil Dead 2 - 9/10
Army of darkness - 6/10
let me guess, you watched Army Of Darkness, and the ending, is the one where he sleeps for too long?
yeah that's BS. the real ending (the one they went to the theaters with) is badass and will add at least 1 point to that score.

The Good Dinosaur - 7/10

Saw it on Sat. with the family and a bunch of nieces and nephews. It was a good movie, but it is pretty much like some of the other Disney animations. Main character loses it's way somehow, makes a few friends, gets into a bit of trouble and finds it's way home again (I'm trying not to spoil anything here, just generalizing). The animation was superb though. Some of the best I've seen in terms of graphics. It's a toss up though as to whether or not anyone should take their family to see it.

Point Break 1991 - 9.5/10 - I thought it was pretty good, I hadn't seen this one ever, but I have caught the end of it a few times on TV.

"Graphics" can be graphed on graphic paper, like old video game sprites. It seems that some editors/journalists didn't know what other gaming publications meant by "graphics" meant and still refer to game visuals and detail as "graphics," but let's leave that limited to the game industry.

mockingjay pt2 - 6/10

not a hunger game fanatic or whatsoever but the gf seems to like these type of movies so off we went. I thought it was boring like the other HG movies, but this one had quite a lot of action from start to end (ok maybe not the start part since i did doze off for about 15-20min). Acting is pretty much along the line with Twilight (yes, i was also succumbed to watching the whole series).

Attack on Titan part 2. I did not know the original move was only the first half. Silly fun to watch.

afaik, they went with that ending for all subsequent releases. i would think if he watched it off of Netflix, then it must be the DVD version, not the theatrical release.

and yes, on the DVD the "Rip Van Winkle" ending is the standard one; the classic one (give me some sugar baby/hardware store fight) is now the "alternate" ending.

Hm, strange. The copy I had years ago only had the sleeping ending as a bonus clip.

And God Created Woman (Roger Vadim, Brigitte Bardot, 1956) 6/10

I have the feeling I may have seen this before. Anyway, it seemed to take forever to traverse the 92 minutes of this Criterion release. Yes, Bardot was the quintessential vixen, as coquettish as can be, as sultry as a woman can be. A body to make any red-blooded man drool, a smile that would beguile a gargoyle. However, the acting was mixed. Sometimes very wooden. Bardot and the rich would-be casino owner were well cast and pulled it off.

Having to deal with the subtitles detracted from my experience, to be expected. I was hoping this would be sexy as hell, but for me it wasn't. The views you got of Bardot's body were basically fully clothed, although provocatively.

The one great classic scene is where Bardot descends the staircase from the upstairs bedroom where she is screwing her new husband. She cherry-picks the spread on the wedding banquet table while the guests stare wide-eyed and open-mouthed and she then sashays up the staircase with her bounty.

The film was directed and co-written by her new husband Roger Vadim. I remember a remark she made later in life that while she was quite successful in her career, she was not successful in her marriages. Is it any wonder when she made movies like this where she played the ultimate temptress, who felt fear but no guilt?

Heroes Reborn - 6/10

Not bad, so far. Not great, though. They're relying on not quite ending short plotlines each episode, more than anything else, to maintain interest, thus far. The worst part, though, is almost like watching a new Joss Whedon series on Fox...when is it going to take that cliff dive? But, at the same time, I want to watch it when it does!

I've been pretty disappointed by Heroes Reborn so far. I think the biggest problem is that the show doesn't work well because it relies too much on the original characters. What made the original show interesting -- at least to me -- is that you had people discovering these abilities and wondering what in the world to do. You also had a menacing villain in Sylar that is a complete 180 from the straight-from-a-shit-comic-book-movie Erica Kravid.

Reborn's biggest flaws are uninteresting characters and far too many plot threads dangling for far too long. The thing is that the latter can be mitigated a bit if the former doesn't exist.

Frozen - being generous, 5/10

My wife insisted that I watch this movie. Even if I judge it purely by standards set by other Disney films I've watched, this one is bog standard and forgettable. At least 'Lilo and Stitch' made me laugh a few times.

My wife thinks that Olaf is the most irritating 'comic relief' character ever made. She hasn't seen Star Wars Episode 1.

I agree that this movie is over-rated.

I'll give Ant-Man 5.4/10. I got a kick out of it till about halfway through it, then it degraded fast IMHO.

I wouldn't say as good as the Second Avengers myself.

Creed - 7.5/10 Despite having nearly identical stories to the original Rocky, it wasn't that bad. Had some decent action, some feels, and a fairly unrealistic conclusion. Not bad. It was entertaining.

I think Frozen is pretty good...must of watched it nearly 10 times now (have a 3 year old). I'd give it 8/10.

Somehow, I just couldn't rate it that myself.

The ending just ruined it for me or I'd go higher.

Just my one ant out of the billions opinion :)

It was pretty decent - I agree with a 7/10 rating.

I'm usually pretty good at turning off the "science" part of my brain when watching these, but I had a hard time with Antman. They specifically said that he retained his weight/mass when he was small, which is why he had such strength (~180lbs with 1cm area.) They showed tiles cracking when he fell on them, etc.

THEN THEY PUT HIM ON TOP OF A FLYING ANT.

Yes, bugs are strong. No, they aren't "fly/crawl with ~200lbs on your back" strong.
