Notre Dame students plan walkout during Mike Pence speech

I'm glad it was reported on. Protests have become absurd. This is a peaceful solution and I think everyone needs to hear it.

I understand that people are angry, me included but to go to protests and strike out violently serves no purpose. Any time any one lays their hand on someone they reinforce their victims beliefs not only about the subject at hand but of the types of people they oppose are.

From a very different angle, if riots are the language of the unheard, listening is prophylaxis for the discontent that leads to them. Hopefully there is listening to match it being made audible.

They should embrace pence with open arms.

Why? Pence is pretty much hated in Indiana. Why should they embrace him?
As far as Catholicism goes....you think there is no extra-marital fucking and drugs and aborting and everything else going on at Notre Dame University?
