So I'm watching "How I Met Your Mother", and I'm on an episode where Ted says "Nothing good happens after 2AM,"

Do people really make bad decisions after 2AM?
 
Most of your productive members of society are in bed asleep at 2am. Those folks still up are often looking for trouble of one kind or another or just plain up to no good.

Besides, this thread started after 2am, so you tell me.

As a general rule, yes.
Anybody out at that time is leaving the party or looking for a new one, and there is a strong chance they are drunk. Cops know this.
Cops are very suspicious of anyone out at that time because they know you probably arent doing anything good.

Stay home after midnight. You cant possibly have enough fun to make the risk worth it. All the hot, nasty club sex I had came when me and the slut left the club before midnight. Seriously. If you are going to have hot, nasty sex with a hot, slutty girl she will drag your happy ass out of there early.
 
well according to my state laws, the bars all CLOSE at 2am... so yes, anyone still out after 2AM is up to no good.
 
Not true.

After 2 things get real quiet, silence is golden, that is "good." It's a good time to (you fill in the blank). I'm not talking about crime.

Pretty much, yes. For the most part, nothing good or productive happens at that hour. As someone who has spent a LOT of time there, I can attest to that.

Usually people who are still in search of a good time after 2 am do so with a kind of desperation that would ruin that good time if they found it. The night is over, let it go.
 
i stayed up all night with a chick once, and all i got out of it was a pair of blue balls.

Parties I used to go to only got going around 1 or 2 and peaked around 4 in the morning. Of course there were drinks etc at someone's house before that time, and an afterparty starting at 6AM, then go lie on the beach and smoke buds until the next night, and do it again.
 
Bullshit, I've had a lot of awesome things happen after 2:00AM. Most of the crappy stuff happens between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
