More like, Note to Self: Password-protect your computer so it's off-limits to everyone but you. :p

I would but it's the only computer in the house...

Yes I bought & built it.
Yes I pay for ISP.
Yes I pay for phoneline.

Wait a sec, I'm getting the shaft! :p

Actually, long story short: my brother bought a computer a couple years ago and I used it all the time, so now it's like I'm obligated to let my sister use mine

well... my copy of ghost is coming in the mail... i think that's a very good solution. sometimes you just need to start over, but it's a hassle to do a complete fresh install... so i think it's a good idea to just have an image of a clean os with the programs you will always need.

Yeah, I really wonder how "normal people" that don't have a computer professional in their family survive.

My sister (who is 20) called me, she was like "uhhh... I'm trying to print.. and it says a file is missing for the printer driver, and that I need to reinstall the printer driver. What am I supposed to do?"

I told her to go to Kinkos. <laughing> She didn't think that was as funny as I did.

But I mean.. if this happened to like.. Joe Idiot.. would they just go buy a new printer or something?!? Well, wait, I guess they'd call the tech support hotline for whatever computer they got.. but still.. wow that sucks. hehehe. The ironic thing was that the error message she got was 100% helpful and descriptive about what she should do..

Note to self: Don't run mysterious .EXE files containing the word "kill" in the filename!

(That had me quite confused for a while) :D
