That's pretty sweet but being tied to a preorder makes it less of a no brainer than the iPhone promo in some ways. I don't know if I can commit to a preorder on anything these days, whether it's video games or phones.
 
It says it has to have a minimum trade in value of $10. Verizon says $1 for my og droid. Looks like I gotta find another old device.
 
Well, in addition to the SGNexus I also have my current personal phone, the HTC One, as trade bait -- I'd trade the SGNexus if they accept that and sell the HTC One on ebay. Might make getting the Note 4 a no brainer.

I would check Best Buy. They list $15 for the Fascinate and $20 for the Captivate. OG Galaxy S FTW!
 
Verizon is offering exactly $10 for my old beater smartphone.
 
Samsung must be feeling the heat from the iPhone 6+. The GN4 isn't even out yet and they're having this promo...
 
Anyone with a Verizon m7 figure out what it is worth? I need a new phone and I'm really trying to wait for nexus 6 but there hasn't been any new information lately.
 
Shit.. my SGS2 is only worth $8. Would like to keep my HTC One M7 around as a backup.

I don't even know if I want a Note 4 but the promotion would have made it more palatable if I could just trade in my SGS2 for $200..

Edit: Best Buy says $30! There is a chance.

Then again, $200 for a GS3 isn't bad either.

Wait, read it again. If it says max value of check is $190 that just means if your phone has less than $10 trade in value you'll get less than $200 total, I think. It doesn't say your device must be worth at least $10.

It does say that.

"...trade in an eligible working smartphone valued $10 or more..."

That's why the trade-in has to be $10 or more, but as long as your trade in is valued as $10 or more you'll get $200 total back from it (trade-in value + check from Samsung).
 
Iphone 4s should get you the cash. I am pretty sure I am going to pull the trigger on the N4. Only thing that worries me is that the Note 5 will be the big upgrade. I heard it is going to have 5 gigs of ram with OctHD screen.

I wonder if this will be the new thing. Massive rebates for trading old phones... If it is I don't need to upgrade right now.

The galaxy edge looks cool. but I am afraid of the durability and the ease to repair it.

I just got back from picking up a phone on CL. Did the whole deal in 90 minutes, paying $50. Decided to pre order the note 4 on at&t when I got back, pretty sure it won't be the Exynos version. Will ship on 10/14.
