You sir, are a good man. You already did more than what most of the poeple would have done, and yet you worry if there wasn't one more thing you couldn't have done to help her.

You did a good thing Ulfwald. It's a shame that she was in such a bad situation but you at least bought her a warm meal which is more than most people would have done. Perhaps someone else kindhearted came along and gave her a ride to the airport.

I got her a Single with Cheese, fries and a coke, and the MGR upped it to a double with cheese and biggie Sized it and no extra cost. Made sure the meat was fresh off the grill and the fries were right out of the fryer. So everything was nice and hot, and fresh.

I hope she is ok. She was kinda cute, in a little sister sort of way. You could tell she had some rough times, but after talking to her, I think she was ready to go home and get her life in order.

I see guys standing on corners begging for money, and I have never given money to them, mainly because for some reason I really don't trust them. But when I see a young girl with a back pack, freezing her butt off, just ask if she can warm up, That is when I knew something was up. I can honestly say, after what she told me about her boyfriend and what he did to her, that if he showed up in there and tried to take her away, I would be posting from jail asking for bail money. :D No girl deserves to be treated like property, or a slave. She seemed very nice, and does not deserve to be degraded like that.

Wife wanted to see if she would come back to the house with us and get a hot shower and rest up before making her trek to the airport. but she also realized that we did not know this girl, nor did we know if she had "anything" on her.

I am still concerned about her, mainly because she is a person who needs help.

Good for you.:)

I am not working right now, but I have a roof over my head and I eat twice a day so I am happy because it can always get worse.
I see people worse off than me and I help when I can.

So hats off to all the people with compassion.:sun:

You know, this thread made my night. Ulfwald's great story of reaching out to help someone, and the icing on the cake is the overwhelmingly thoughtful replies.

Kudos to you Ulfwald. I hope I would have done the same thing if I had been there.

From the replies here, I honestly believe many of you would have done the same, if not more. I have seen this community come together to help Compuwiz when his dog was hurt, to help me when my wife was pregnant and we were in danger of losing our house, and many other times which I cannot beging to name. This is a good place, and that is why I continue to hang out here.

You did more than 99% of the population would do and I can guarantee she appeciated your small act of kindness tremendously.
