as I mentioned above,

bestbuy has a 10 pack for 9.99 with FREE shipping. Amazon will probably charge you quite a bit. However, the 5 pack comes with covers.....so....you just gotta decide which one you prefer:D

do the ones at OD include 5 slim jewel cases or just one? The item description seems to indicate just one.

"Memorex CD-RW media holds up to 700MB of data or 80 minutes of audio. Compatible with 1x-4x writers and includes slim-design jewel case."

For all the deal bashers: Please refrain from posting snide comments.

Since you claim in your title "Not HOT" then why did you post it here? I'm normally not one to crap (purposely) on someone's deal thread, but I think youopened yourself up by saying Not HOT in the subject in the first place.

Now I guess the question comes out to be: is the deal posted actually warm? Maybe. I've never bought these. You probably would have been better off, though, to just post the details and leave the heat rating to others as well as the request to not post snide comments off entirely. You would have been safer in the long run. just my opinion, though.

You wasted your time just to say that? Some people...

Umm...this is not a hot deal. You can get a 10-pack at Amazon/J&R for $6.99.

Would you not have to pay J&R's $4.90 shipping? $6.99 plus $4.90 shipping = $11.39. Office Depot is at the rate of $9.74 and you don't have to wait for delivery.

They come with 5 cases.

Thanks for the other links guys. I wasn't sure if Beast Buy sold the CD-RW's or not. I have only seen the CD-R spindles.

This isn't bad, but for cheap bulk media check out www.yesbuy.net. They have decent prices on all forms of cd media/storage. Beware, however, the shipping, as it's fairly steep. My suggestion is do what I do and buy a lot at once to offset the shipping costs.

Mini-discs hold less than 190MB. You're looking at the wrong product.

These are pretty cool - I'm wondering if I can finally rid myself of these Zip disks. This might be a start.

Actually, he was looking at the right product. Unfortunately, he quoted the wrong line and obviously, Office Depot is to blame for including that line as part of the description. ApacheXMD should have quoted the second line which says, "Pocket CD-RW media holds up to 210MB of data or 24 minutes of audio and includes jewel case."

went to compusa for some FAR...

saw memorex mini cd-rw 10 pack $7.99 / 5 pack cd-r $3.99
various other selection of mini media stuff but memorex seemed like the best brand

also no rebate/pm/coupon/etc.

cd-rw
cd-r

a little bit cheaper than the OD one (per disc)

cd-rw is in spindle
cd-r comes with mini jewel cases

no more floppy for me now:)
