That's actually a decently sized list. I guess those people must not be part of the same "Hollywood" that conservatives always generically complain about

Pssttt... a good chunk of those on that rather small list are "Nashville" - not Hollywood.

I could be wrong but I didn't see Gary Sinise on the list.

Also, there was at least one or two individuals whose placement on the list was rather dubious....one female towards the end dated a few conservative/republicans...as a counterexample, supposedly Ann Coulter dated (among others) the son of Penthouse founder Bob Guccione. Did that make her "liberal" while she was dating him? of course not!

So basically, conservative celebs are B-list actors and country music stars?

Pretty much, although the spectrum is pretty far.

I'm a big Clint fan, and although he leans right, he's more liberty-oriented as opposed to authoritarian social conservative (which I absolutely loathe, they give us a damned bad name lately).

I love the 50 cent quote: "In some ways I'm the George W. Bush of Hip Hop - nobody likes me, but I'm still gonna run it for the next four years."

Adam Sandler was a big surprise for me too.

Tom Clancy is the ugliest mofo I've seen this side of Marty Feldman. He looks like he's actively being throttled!

Johnny Ramone is the biggest surprise to me - I guess the whole 'fight the system' thing went out once he started nailing teenagers in the back of his limo. Not that the Dems are any less "the system", so who knows.

I don't think the list is meant to be exhaustive...

In any case, many of the "Hollywood" liberals or "New York" liberals don't live there either. My point, which seems to have evaded you, is that conservative stereotypes aren't real accurate...not that they are meant to be, of course.

Looks like the list is primarily comprised of the old, grouchy, hick and dumb - the cornerstone of the GOP.

As opposed to the stupid, lazy, incompetent, easily manipulated, and generally braindead cornerstone of the dems? See how that works? All those attributes you lised go across both parties.

Out of all those attributes, you may wish to reserve the braindead one for the neocons who hate anything to do with science, rationale or objectivity out of fear of disagreement with their fellow neocons.

Better nate than lever, but here's one of the Hollywood 'right'. Insanity lies ahead:

Victoria Jackson (SNL alum)

"I don't want a political label, but Obama bears traits that resemble the anti-Christ and I'm scared to death that uneducated people will ignorantly vote him into office.

You see, what bothers me most, besides being a Communist, and a racist...is that he is a LIAR. He pretends to be a Christian and he incriminates himself everytime he speaks about Christianity. To lie about being a believer in Christ is very dangerous. Lightning could strike him at any minute! But seriously, he doesn't have a clue what the Bible says and yet he pretends to be a church- going Christian to win votes. That is sooooo evil."

And here is her current website post:

FREEDOM OF SPEECH

Because my agent received hateful and threatening phone calls after I expressed my politcal views publicly.... I took her phone number off of my web site. I asked someone why people would be angry with my words. Don't we have freedom of speech? They replied that the "...has some traits that resemble the Antichrist" comment was the phrase most offensive to some people. That word is not a curse word and wasn't meant to be rude or offensive. It is simply a term in eschatology, and I was making an observation. (It's funny that the word "Antichrist" was used in reference to President Bush many times, and no one seemed to mind.)
...
Voters in our last election did not base their decision on facts or knowledge, but on hype, emotion, peer pressure, and racial fervor. It didn't help that the liberally biased media blocked Americans access to the truth. (Fox News is the only news show that even resembles journalism).

*cough*

She calls Obama the anti-christ, not in a joking manner the way people call bush Hitler or something, but in a religiously honest expression of belief that he bears traits in common with the bringer of end times, and then she wonders at the reaction she received.

She then misconstrued freedom of speech to mean that one can voice their opinion without repurcussion from other private persons which is of course not what it means. She then insults the american public by claiming it was hype and racial fervor, and not 24 hour news coverage of every word and position of both candidates, on which people based their votes. And then puts the cherry on top by claiming fox news is the sole source of journalistic integrity.

Eh, you guys can keep this one. But I'm not giving up on Kathy Ireland, I just need 3 minutes with her, bless her little milfy model brain.

There's not many surprises in that list. Country folk tend to be very conservative and Republican...

I dunno, Dennis Hopper is the last person I'd think that'd be a Republican given his past. Britney Spears, Shannon Doherty, Wang Dang Teddy Nuget, all those country rubes, yeah they fit the stereotype.

A bunch of country music singers... Britney Spears, and Jessica Simpson. I am shocked. Shocked.
