The winter time is rough for me and nose bleeds, but this winter has been particularly bad. Anyone have tips to dealing with them? I heard getting a humidifier helps, but I'm looking for something maybe simpler. I'm drinking water by the gallon too.

And stopping coke snorting is not an option.

If it happens to much it will stop.

But really if your worried about it just go to a doctor.
And blowing your nose less...

Use a saline spray or some sort of nasal gel to keep the inside of your nose moist. Don't blow your nose too hard and don't pick your nose.

So... you know what is frequently suggested, but you don't want to do that? If it's because of money (they're from $50 for a small one to $150 for a whole-house humidifier), I definitely understand. But simpler? Plug it in, put water in it, turn it on, and you're done.

(In related news, I bought a humidifier earlier today.)

vaseline in your nose

This. This is what the doctor told me a few years back when it happened to me and this worked like a charm, plus I'm sure you already have some at your house.

When I was younger, I had a lot of nose bleeds. I remember one time, it bled for hours and hours. My grandma gave me this herbal medicine where she burned it and I was told to inhale the fumes through my nose. Insta-nose bleed stopage.

How much do you have to put in there to get this? I put barely any in and it worked fine.

I'm not sure, but I used to do this, and my doctor told me to stop, and use water based lubricants in the nose if needed. So yeah, KY :)
