I am pretty worried about all this. I'm scared terrorists will get a hold of a nuke from one of these communist countries and it will start WW3.

Honestly, does anyone really give a crap what some random guy's blog says?

It's not about what is in my blog, it's about the idea. The article isn't fact, just some random thinking to get the brains turning.

It's a good topic too.

😕

You think NK has terrorist training camps all over their country? SHHHHhhhhhhh, Dubya might hear you.

to start a WW3, we need an enemy. who would that be? terrorism again? first of all, terrorism is not an enemy, it is a tool.

The enemy could very well be North Korea or Iran. Or both!

Yes, we should all be scared of any possible futures 24/7!

Fear is so pointless...

No it's not. It's a good way to control people 😛

Here are some other comments on the situation.

I'm sorry, but even Kim Jong Il is not stupid enough to do something that might result in World War III or global nuclear war.

I don't understand why everyone is so paranoid about nuclear weapons, the whole point in having them is so that we won't have to use them. Just launch them and get it over with, at least it'll put all this pointless fear to rest.

The assumption is that everyone in NK is rational.

At the same time, ever wondered what the Japanese, Koreans and CHinese will be thinking? Heck, as it is, the Japs are already freaking out in the UN.

Only an idiot would pick a fight with china - especially when all the chinese have to do to slap you silly is walk across a river 😛

First one person got a stone weapon. Then everyone had to have stone weapons.
Then came bronze weapons, and another arms race.
Then iron weapons.
Then guns.
Then conventional bombs.
Then nuclear bombs.

I suppose a move first to fusion bombs as a primary "deterrent" will be next, followed eventually by antimatter weaponry.

Great progress, people.
"We can kill off humanity 500 times!"
"Oh yeah, we can do it 700 times! You lose! We.....well, we don't win, but we lose less!"

am i the only one who is shocked that people are just now realizing that nuclear weapons are dangerous?

I'm actually surprised that some terrorist group hasn't gotten their hands on a nuke yet.

Who says they haven't *gotten* one yet? All we know is that they haven't used it yet.

The thing is, if they do have one, using it shouldn't be too awfully difficult. Get ahold of a private jet somewhere in Europe, fly across the Atlantic (I assume that private/corporate jets are capable of this flight), fly low over a city, and trigger explosive.
I imagine the most difficult part of this would be figuring out how to rig the bomb to go off when desired, and not before.
Although, if it explodes over the middle of the Atlantic, that would still accomplish wonders for the terrorists without even destroying a single American city. When people realize that a nuke was on its way to the mainland, prepped to detonate, there'll probably be some panic and rioting. Those in charge will realize that they really can't do a whole lot to secure every single nuclear weapon in the world, and who knows, martial law to secure the country and quell the rioting and panic? In either way, the terrorists still score a victory. As far as they're concerned, detonating over a city would simply be a bonus.

YEah, they could already have one from the cold war. The Russions built alot of weapons and many suitcase nukes went missing after the cold war.
