North Korea keeps testing ICBM's and has again done a new nuclear test. My question is are we going to wait till this maniac blows some location up with a Nuclear Bomb and kill Millions of people or are we going to do something about it? I think Obama and South Korea are too Chicken to take any action. We could at least blow up their test facilities and set them back a few years.

Of course we could also do nothing and wait till he has a Nuclear fall out contamination cloud floating over a city near you.

It seems like once every couple of weeks we are hearing more alarming news about NK and its nuclear capabilities and delivery systems. This guy is a total loon. IMO it's a possible nightmare scenario. Does anyone think there isn't a good reason to be alarmed by all of this?

There isn't really anything we can feasibly do about it. Nothing at all. Which is why I find it so alarming.

Surely the US can sneak a nuke in NK and detonate it, killing the glorious leader and lots of others and say it was a NK nuclear suicide/mistake.

nuke them from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.

Knowing the paranoia\insanity that NK seems to embrace along with their propensity for digging extensive underground tunnels and complete disregard for worker safety it wouldn't surprise me if this didn't actually work for once

Nk with nukes is like a toddler with scissors. Even if he throws the scissors, they ain't getting far enough to hurt anyone except himself.

And the next day there are 20 million people on South Korea's boarder. The suffering of its own people and the impact of putting that on other economies is the North korean's only real deterrent.

It's a tough situation that leaders in the west (and mostly the US) have wrestled with for decades. You can't really do anything directly because of the possible impact to SK and possible issues with China. The great loon leader is a toddler throwing an ever increasing tantrum, but he's a toddler with a gun in his hand. That can easily go wrong. If there was a way to infiltrate and take out tubby over there, I'm sure they would have done it, but there's probably not.

And if that was to happen someone even worse could take over or it could fracture like iraq did.

So Obama is too chicken to do anything, but not the dozen presidents before him that didn't do what the OP commands must be done. Or, well maybe, the situation is just too damn complicated for the OP to understand.

Look on a map and see for yourself how close Seoul, with 25 million people in its Metropolitan area, is to NK and you will see that that pudgy toddler can easily hurt millions of people besides himself.

BFD. The USA isn't getting more involved until someone dies, and even then it'd have to be either significant damage, which they're almost definitely incapable of, or american lives, which they have no actual reason to do. There's no incentive for USA to go in again, especially after what happened in the 50s. There's no way joe blow america gives a crap about Sally Seoul.

Your first statement that I bolded is unbelievably ignorant. Sorry, but NK is definitely capable of doing significant damage, even conventionally. As for your second statement, just stay in your Fortress of Ignorance, Stuporman, 'cause your bunker is bitchin'! :p

Please. NK doing anything that actually provokes invasion is actively against the entire reason why they're working towards nukes in the first place. They have a consistent pattern of threatening violence for the purpose of receiving aid, so their citizens don't starve to death in the streets. This is well established. Nuking ANYTHING basically assures their destruction, which is a worse fate than threatening nuking anything and then getting food. Leader is obviously a buffoon, but I trust him to not launch the nukes a lot more than I'd trust Trump. Incapable, or capable but just won't. In this case, the difference is moot, really.

The US will go to the mat for South Korea. It's baked in the cake.

The more interesting question is "When will NK try to sell nukes and what will the response be?"

This whole situation could have been resolved years ago if China intervened, they are the only power that has any influence in that region because they can control the NK economy, they wont do anything unless it threatens them.

Of course China doesn't give a fuck though because NK is a good distraction tool against the USA and the regional other powers.

South Korea and China are the main reasons we allow a North Korean madman to continue developing nuclear missiles.
This is why missile defense is a must-have.
