I'll try to stop by if i remember after welding, more often than not i just want to get out of there by the time 12:00 comes around though cause im feeling kinda sick from the arc welding, it just gets to me even with all of the ventilators and whatever we've got...Might brush up on my oxy-acet' skills though since my final is just on tuesday.

Don't worry about it if you can't make it. You just reminded me how much I want to take a welding class, as I'm self-taught, and my dad got me started.
 
Oh well, I didn't stop by because as I had figured I kinda was feeling a little doped up after arc welding and had a generous headache. I kinda wanted to though but I came home and promptly fell asleep 😀 When are you guys gonna be going to check out the 'site' tommorow? Im looking forward to some kinda report or something. Im assuming since you two need to go look at it you ahvent been there before, how do you end up finding these places? 😕 Well, anyway my status on going is still on the good side of 50/50 🙂D) whether or not I think i can stay up and put up with all you people for that long playing games...ive always wanted to get some 'real' caffiene

We found this place because one of the attendees owns it, I'm actually not planning on going out there tommorrow due to the storm and the fact that my car can get a little out of control with me behind the wheel 😉 but there will be reporting soon, so stay tuned.

You from SoCal or something? I miss lots of rain, we've had a dry year so far. Need more or it'll be a drought.
 
Hmm, kinda late response on my part but nope. Born in Green Brae and lived here in Petaluma all my life. I just like it 🙂
 
I'm interested. Don't know too many gamers out here in the stix though so putting together a team might prove difficult. This is for fun right? I doubt that I'm ready to go Pro yet.

Great abouth the tables and network gear, Starts January 2nd at 2PM, send fatniclan@yahoo.com an e-mail and of course its for fun, we can also place you on a team, maybe the ATOT team or something. The lan will be off of Petaluma Hill Road outside of Santa Rosa, on Crane Canyon Road.

 
Talon. I am informed by my OH that another plan is already in place. Unfortunately for me, I have to go to my inlaws on the 1st thru the 4th,🙁. Istill have 2 3'x8' tables and a 5 and 10 port hub that I would lend to you if some one out this way will be responsible for them who is going. Sorry to back out, really. But I don't want to withdraw the equipment support if you need to rely on it. let me know. Would have liked to play all you youngin's. Makbe you could set up a WAN server so I could wail on you from Placerville?

I think I have a better chance of going now though because I found out that we do infact still have an old netgear hub (a small one though) that can be used if it needs to be. I guess I'll still have to figure out a away to get myself a cable though

The one im connected to my home LAN runs under my house in the crawlspace and is probably over ~35 feet long, and I dont think its just laying down there either if memory serves me correctly its stapled to the wood to keep it off the ground = no way to get it out. I guess thats why ive got a coil of about 10' of the stuff under my desk by the hole so i can move my computer around my room.

Any idea how many people are signed up so far ad of those how many are from AT(OT)? I really want to go but still not sure about my networking issues...mostly a cable now at this point :Q
 
Cable is cheap at Home Depot, but the switch thing sounds OK, and so far only you ShoddyComp, less people interested from ATOT than I thought :frown:
 
IF I was going I would make you a cable of any length. There has to be an ATOTer who can make cables! Come on, I got about 400feet of it with about 60 connectors. There has got to be another home networker here. IF you had access to the tools to make cable you could just buy 2 connectors (if you can do that?) and like 4 feet of cable. Better yet, just buy the cable and heads and crimp them at the store!
 
True its not too hard to make cables, we made these I just dont know if we have the conenctors and enough cable left to do one up. My dad did ran cable and was basically a network guy moving people and whatever else at Firemans Fund in Novato.
AAAAANYWAY. Hmm. Talon, are you and nighthawk considering....or is it literally only me that actaully was thinking about really having a half a chance in going? 😕
 
It was literally only you, SC, that had a half a chance of going, I would really like to get more people though.
 
Sorry that I can't make it, though I could make cables this week if anyone around Manteca wants to bring them. SC, where do you live. I can mail you one.

Wow, that is right next to those clubs off of the river. We used to take the boat from bel marin keys up the river to those clubs and have a little fun. The best part was it slept 6. 😀

 
this sucks. i'll be up in the bay area to visit my parents around then, but i'm coming from san diego. that means i won't have my puter with me. it would have been nice to play on a lan again... 🙁
 
If anyone wants to go from San Jose I can drive, but don't think I'd drive up there by myself..... have a tendency to fall asleep at the wheel when driving solo 🙁
