I don't know about putting him on the 10, but of all the recent Presidents he is the only one worthy of such an honor.

Johnson = Vietnam
Nixon = Watergate
Ford = bleh
Carter = disaster
Reagan = good 🙂
Bush 41 = great man, eh as President
Clinton = person troubles over shadow everything else
Bush = traitor, war criminal, murderer :thumbsdown: :|
Reagan = Big deficits :frown:

Maybe they can roll out a $1000 bill with a piece of feces on it at the same time, if inflation keeps up.

FDR deserves a spot on a coin or dollar before Reagan even gets a sniff..

um...have you handled a dime lately? Like in the past 50 years or so?

P.S. FDR was an idiot.

True, there that & a lot more, but I felt the one signature issue of his presidency was the positive spin on large deficits.

That and the Laffer (Laugher) Curve.
Reaganomics at its best. :thumbsdown:

Thinking more on this, I think this is truly the lynchpin of the next election. We need to immediately weed out those who are against it, because Reagan, having been nominated to Sainthood (the greatest of the Saints) is a blessed and perfect soul, the best politician--nae, the best person, even maybe better than Jesus?--who ever lived, and we need to proove that we're completely for him on this and not only change the $10 with his pic, but even name all of our first borns Reagan. And our second borns Ronald. Nothing is of greater importance right now, our most dire time of need. This is bigger than anything.

If we name them all Reagan, aren't the females then destined to end up working in the clubs that the guys are going to be handing out all of those Clintons in?

I hate to say it, but Obama might actually have more in common with Reagan than one might think.

Reagan's actual presidency, much of which I place squarely on the shoulders of that ghoul GHWB, was not that great. The 'success' of his presidency, which cannot be discounted, was in the PR area, where he made people feel good about things with great speeches and the use of humor. When you get right down to it, Obama doesn't seem to have many very specific plans about anything, but he's got a lot of charisma and inspirational ability that could very well give the country a lift. Lord knows he would be a good face to show the world that America is still the land of opportunity.

I thought Bush 41 was a decent president. Handled the first Iraq war well, and made the tough decision to raise taxes which helped Clinton balance the budget 4 years later.

Bush 41's biggest life mistake was not rolling over in 1945 and shooting W out the window.

Lol, I was wondering how long till someone posted that.

Besides, Obama is already making his own version of the presidential shield, why not relabel everything.

With our inflationary pressures they should create a 500 dollar bill with Reagan on it imo.

In 30 years it will be the 100 dollar bill of its time.

Apparently they already had it back one in 1929 acording to wiki:

The $500 bill featured a portrait of William McKinley.

Sorry, but you must be new here. Bush 41 was a Republican, and there is no such thing as a good Republican President on this board.

There's no person who ever lived who didn't make mistakes or poor decisions. Sure some are better than others but if we disqualified every president by giving priority to their failures over their accomplishments we'd have currency with no one's face on it, which isn't entirely a horrible idea, as it is a form of idolatry and that's against the 10 Commandments.

Lincoln, considered by many to be our best president, illegally suspended habeus corpus and unliaterally deprived slave owners of their property without due process, but there he sits on the fiver.

??? My favorite president of all time is Eisenhower, followed fairly closely by Kennedy.

GHWB was a corrupt jackass who stained the Reagan years with his CIA-inspired antics.
