Santa has anti-missile railgun lasers mounted to his sled, he cannot be shot down. The children of the kids at Norad got no presents on year...

they're not just missle defense they track all potentially hostile air traffic in north america. bombers, fighters, in addition to possible incoming ICBMs and SLBMs.

NORAD is not a missile defense system. At least not yet.

It is designed to detect and track any potential unfriendlies approaching or entering US airspace, particularly aircraft such as bombers but I suppose that can include space ships, too.

They only scramble fighters to intercept aircraft. No point in trying to intercept an ICBM coming in at Mach 5 with an F-16. It would be a one in a million shot.

Correct, it's not actually a missle 'defense' system, but they do 'track' missles.

lol, yeah, that's what I meant.. though I made it sound like they shoot down missiles with their super lasers...

I thought NORAD was made originally to track and provide warning of missiles from the soviet union during the cold war...
