Noooooo ... let's talk whey protein

The Nooooo is because i accidentally bought chocolate peanut butter flavored whey protein. Disgusting. But I'll consume it.

So, what whey do you use? I don't care for expensive stuff. I usually get some cheap chocolate or vanilla flavored stuff from Wal-Mart. I worry about it not being a properly regulated product though.

EDIT:
I buy Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein Powder from Wal-Mart for $15 per 2 pound container.

my "economical" whey is dymatize elite gourmet, but they changed the flavor, so I won't be buying it any more. so now I will be using ON 100% whey

the good stuff I use is AST's VP2. had a 30% off at bodybuilding.com so I bought a lot of it

Optimum Nutrition cookies-n-cream, and some fudge toffee flavor, sometimes double chocolate. All three are good and ON is easy to mix in a shaker cup.

Even if ON is a few bucks more, to me it's worth the cost.

I'd avoid the no name stuff, it could be some dude mixing melamine laced whey from china in his garage. I usually get vanilla since I always mix my protein with blueberries among a bunch of other stuff. I just got some 5lb jugs of BSN Syntha-6 a couple weeks ago from some slickdeal that was posted.

ON Chocolate, 1 scoop
ON micronized creatine - 1 tbsp
NOW Beta Alanine - 1 tbsp
drinked post workout

I also supplement fish oil and multi-vitamin. I dont think i really need the fish oil and multi-vitamin but it's good "insurance"

One scoop for the whole day? That it?

I use ProteinCo isolate. Cheapest isolate i could find in Canada (using 20% off coupon). I switched to isolate because I'm lactose intolerant, and regular whey protein was causing major flatulence problems.

I think it depends on the rest of the diet...I do a protein bar when I wake up (20g) shake after workout and recovery days (+30g) + protein rich snack (i.e. beef jerky, kashi, or something like that ~15-20g) + protein rich dinner (20-30g). This gets me to about 100g/day. Personally, I don't feel like I need any more.

yep. i may up protein in the am but typical diet is:

2/3 eggs, bacon, fruit or oats and fruit + whey
raw nuts
chicken or pork + veggies
avocado, fruit, veggies
shake
chicken, , pork, fish + veggies

I go with True Nutrition's cold filtered isolate - either french vanilla or whatever they call their chocolate, it's dutch something or other. I typically buy 15-20lbs at a time

I go with Now Whey Isolate unflavored. I'm a very picky eater, so any type of flavor probably isn't going to work.

I mix it with orange gatorade, which I know isn't necessarily ideal, but it's what I can put down after a workout.

you can mix in a little bit of fat free pudding mix in to change the flavor. also slightly off topic but if you're cutting you can snack on sugar free jello if you have a craving for something sweet. macros are something like 1g of protein and <1g of carbs. You can top it off with sugar free whipped topping.

I've been using this one for a couple of years now:

It tastes fine just mixed with water and does not seem to have a lot of extra crap in it.

I'm no power lifter guy like some of you, but I like to have some of this after every workout I do, whether it's running/yoga/strength training/whatever.

did they change the isolate to a new "richer" flavor? the gourmet used to taste great, now like crap. I have a 10# bag of ON and a 10# bag of syntha 6, but still working through the 15# of new flavored dymatize that I am not enjoying
