So my Chilean Rose Hair (supposedly a female), who has been in my care for over a year and a half, finally decides to molt after I put in a heater. Low and behold, it's a freaking male!! After the molt he has tibial hooks and swollen front feeler/sex organ things. This is pretty annoying as females live a long time (20+ years even) while males don't last long after their mature (ie, develop these tibial hooks and things).
Does anyone know what the heck I can do with a male Chilean Rose hair? I guess I could ask the pet store if the need it for breeding or something, but this is freaking rediculous. Looks like I am going to have to get another one soon as mine won't last long now that he is mature.
So annoying...
