"noob" girlfriend needs help!

Alright, so I'm admittedly a "noob"? when it comes to all of this electronic/ computer jazz, but my boyfriend is your basic nerd. He pretty much speaks entirely in acronyms and I never have any idea what the heck he is talking about. So in an attempt to actually contribute to a conversation once in a while, I've decided to really try to learn some stuff. I was hoping, since he's a big ATOT user, some of you guys could help me learn the basics, or at least point me in the right direction. Any good sites or heck even sparknote style books that I could check out to gain a basic understanding of computers/ electronics in general? Thanks!

Geek girls are turnoff.

Turnon, imo. Anyway, stay out of Off Topic. Read up in General Hardware, Software Apps and Gaming, and if you can stand the constant nv vs. ati flamewars, Video. Lots of good basic info in there. Not that there isnt' in the other forums, but those are good starting points. Always beware OT. I came here to learn about computers and did for a while... then I got hooked on OT. Now I have a zillion posts and a reputation for rabid hatred of ipods 😕 Don't make the same mistake I did 🙁

You should probably ask him what the acronym "EPT" stands for since he'll never have a fvcking use for it in his life.

I recommend a slow steady gorging process combined with assal horizontology!

Call 1-800-DOCTORB. The B is for Bargain!
