Layoffs? Maybe stopping work/pay for a while, but I figure once the scare dies down they would have to quickly ramp up production again?
If things get better, sure. Ram up and back to normal after a brief interruption/slow down.
But what if things don't get better? Remember when everyone thought this virus was just mainland china and maybe some next door neighbors and nothing else? Now it is on multiple countries on all continents except Antarctica with over 85,000 infections and 2,900 deaths (for now).
In other news, a vaccine for this virus "might be" available at the earliest around June/July if it is possible at all (mutations and if it would even work across the board). Japan is shutting down schools until April. Nothing about the Olympics yet.
