The thing I dislike about most cyclists is that they go back and forth from riding the shoulder to taking up the whole lane whenever it's convenient for them. If it was one other the other I wouldn't have a problem.

What? Since when did bicycles stop being vehicles of the road? You have to abide lights, stop signs, and all traffic postings. What a jackass. I'm an avid biker too and this is just stupid.
Yeah. They are still required to obey the law and can & should be pushished. But it seems like cops never want to do that.

One of the most important is: If you are on the road you need to maintain flow with the traffic.

Thats why they dont allow mopeds on the freeway.

The Ahole didn't slowdown or stop at 3 ways before a turn. He tail gate cars when ever he can. He took the entire lane (out in the far left of lane) in a right turn only lane. He didn't come to a full stop at a stop sign.

Cyclists should take up the entire lane (1m, 3 feet) when in a turn so that drivers have to go around them as a safety reason and it is till with thin the law. The Ahole took his bike to within a few inches of the solid lane divide so that he can have more speed coming into the corner, hence breaking the law and putting himself in danger (literally taking up both lanes).

Aholes such as the guy in the vid give cyclists a bad name.

<-- avid cyclist, was a cat-1 roadie.

Recently in the Vancouver area the Cops decided to enforce some Traffic Laws against Bikers and brought a News Crew along. The setup by a Stop sign and began pulling over Bikers who just blew through it and gave them Warnings. It was unbelievable how many they stopped, so much in fact that while they were busy filling the Bikers in on the Traffic Laws that other Bikers went blowing through the same Stop sign.

Bikers on Roads are required to follow the same Traffic Laws that Vehicles are subject to.

The cops on campus started ticketing people for blowing through stop signs. This particular stop sign is at the bottom of a hill so bicyclists are often going pretty fast. I've nearly been hit a few times. I've also seen some close calls with cars.

Its funny though. The bicyclists all feel like they are being discriminated against.

I've seen dozens of pedestrians get taken out at the bottom of 24th st crossing speedway. SO many bikers come flying down 24th st(downhill) and blow through the intersection.

I saw one a few years back where this biker hit a girl walking in the crosswalk and proceeded to flip head over feet twice before landing on his chest about 20 feet past where he hit the girl. The girl was knocked out, but got up after a minute and seemed okay albeit dazed while the biker broke one or both arms while bracing for his impact.

He was easily going 30+ when he hit her. People are just stupid :(

What a douche bike rider. He deliberetly swerved towards vehicles to make it look worse then it should have been. They really need to make bicycles laws so they have to ride on sidewalks. Just like here hardly anyone is every walking on them so they make the perfect place to ride. Same as in that video. Lots of sidewalks with nobody every on them.

I think the real answer is to build bike lanes. Sidewalks are for that purpose - to walk. I ride a road bike which is a pain to ride on sidewalks since most have curbs which wreak havoc on road bikes.

Nope, still don't get how cyclists trust the common driver enough to share the same road. It only takes 1 idiot to kill you and you're making it easier. The guy was frequenting 2-lane roads (opposing traffic in the other lane), which is dangerous enough for vehicles, nevermind cyclists. You're just asking for trouble. People who do this to save on gas money... your life can't be worth that little.

Funny, while his video is an attempt at an indictment of how "bad" drivers are he himself did not follow the law in some cases. The last portion is a good example as he drove right through the STOP without actually stopping.

hypocrite ...

if a bicyclist wants to break law and be that aggressive, then it will only be a matter of time until idiot meets idiot on the road.
