Even without the NFC Championship game juiced up premiere, the ratings for the other 5 episodes are very solid for Fox. I'd expect a renewal.

Amazing cliffhanger ending of episode 6. :awe:
Now they'll really need to look for their son that they gave up for adoption in order for Mulder to survive, they need his brain stem cells.
And yes that was a huge triangular UFO hovering over a lot of people on the bridge.

I think they made the kid central by putting him in the script a lot.

That was a pretty weak episode and all six were not that enjoyable. The over the top conspiracy stuff was so heavy handed. The Mulder and Scully young knockoffs are not likable at all. It was just a poorly written reboot.

If we all took a shot for how many times "Alien DNA" was said in that last episode we'd be dead three times over.

I'd like a reboot with the new duo. To be honest I just want a show like this or Fringe back on the air again.

I would rather have Fringe come back. Its more of what a modern X-Files should have been like.

I think the mythology episodes killed this season. 3-5 were fine as standalone episodes, but at this point I kinda don't care about the conspiracy. And the Alex Jones thing they do every 10 minutes doesn't help either. This last episode was by far the worst. I still hope they bring it back though, as I'm sure they can do better. And if they bring it back and it sucks its not like I have to watch it, but I'd rather have the option.

The show does have a bit of a problem inherent in some ongoing plot of aliens taking over the world not being resolved one way or the other. Not easy to keep that going.

I think a lot of what made the original x-files so popular was the dynamic between Mulder and Scully as well as their onscreen personas.

I don't know if they can ever recreate something similar with two new actors.

I think they were throwing ideas against the wall to see what sticks. Like they weren't sure how to proceed, and thought they'd measure audience response to each episode.

I plan to see the final episode tonight on Hulu.

I liked the 6 part series. But felt the last episode was really rushed.

yeah.. I'd thought the finale would be a 2hr episode.

and wtf from alien conspiracy turned Illuminati to instant Contagion movie?
everyone on the planet going from healthy to dying within 72hrs like a switch turned on was MEH!
