Wow! turned out to be a lively thread.

It's only lively because we're incapable of understanding the extent of your stupidity.

I bet if I asked you what the main cause of death is in structure fires, you would have to wiki the answer. That's how fvcking stupid you are.

I think I'll believe the brilliant PhD chemist over the average chump nobody with "beer" in his handle on a gay internet forum.

Wait, this is a gay forum? That explains a lot of things.

Maybe you naysayers should ponder over this quote.

Impossible - too many Hollywood movies that show 3/4's of the room on fire, leaving the hero with only a few square feet of space & a path to the furthest door (with the closest door being blocked by the collapse of the ceiling from the fire.)

Awesome thread is awesome.
A delicious mix of winsauce and failsauce. It tingles my tastebuds like an 18 year old clitoris.

That's fantastic, thank you for your observations, you clearly know this because you have lived in America for 20 years and have spent "quality time" with children. :Q

When I originally saw this thread, I simply went on the information posted. However, today I read the actual article. I can't tell you how depressing it is, not to read the misinformation from his trial, but to read how many people had the ability to give him a second chance and still turned the other way, all the way up to his execution.

After reading the article I think the saddest thing is how the OP can make a joke out of a man being tormented for 12 years and then being killed.

The fact that thread was allow to continue for so long and he wasn't banned, for at least a little while, tells me all I need to know about the mods on this forum.

I read the whole thing. It came mostly down to the unscientific means the original investigators used to show proof of arson. Scientific study and explanation proved that all indicators of arson were incorrect. It's shocking to think that their processes were used up until recently. The prime evidence that put the man to death can be likened to hearsay evidence used to convict people hundreds of years ago. The investigators had no official training or even an understanding of how exactly a fire behaves inside an enclosed structure. Just when I thought we moved on from the middle ages I read something like this.

Where in my OP did I make a joke?
Maybe the reason they didn't ban me was because I was getting a pretty good post lashing from the players.
Not sure what it tells you though.

This is what happens when you raise a large portion of the population to have contempt for science. There was scientific evidence that cleared this man, but instead the courts sided with unqualified amateurs who had unverifiable track records in assessing the remains of fires. Many Americans are raised with a disgusting contempt of science, the scientific process and the scientific community (look at any threads around here on evolution, big bang theory or global warming for examples).

but you forget that there are vastly more staunch science proponents in this country than NZ has people.

If I'm not mistaken, there are more sheep in New Zealand than New Zealand has people.

Well, they can only sneak up behind the same sheep so many times before it gets wise to what's going to happen, so they have to keep importing more. :p

You know what else was scary? When he mentioned that Vasquez had something like a 90% ratio on determining something as Arson as opposed to accidental. And he then noted that the average was like 15%. That means there were many other people wrongly accused.

Just reread this article for the hell of it. It was 50%, not 15%.

Oh, and OP is still retarded and/or didn't read the entire article.

Basically a 24 year old father awakes to his 2 year old daughter's cries of "Daddy! Daddy! realizes his 975 sq. foot house is on fire and he gets out alive and unhurt but his 3 infant daughters are killed. In my mind--- unless he wanted his daughters dead--his story is impossible for a father.

Anyone with sperm globes can be a father, it takes a man to be a Dad.

Great thread, would read again!

I would probably risk death to save my kids. Although, I think the problem may be that the house is MUCH hotter than people think. I'm sure if you entered the room where the fire started, your eyeballs would literally melt without wearing some type of goggles.

I haven't read the whole thread or the article because I was getting pissed at reading every persons life story (TMI).

Anyways. What i did read said that the 2 year old was in the same bed as him and was saying "Daddy daddy" If you are such a piece of shit of a human as to run out and leave the kid that was next to you, you deserve to be executed.

read the article. it would be easier than displaying such profound ignorance. That's what the OP's troll posts were for.

Anyhoo, I believe his story was recently (or soon will be) on Dateline or Frontline or somesuch. I saw a preview the other day while flipping through. Nice to see that it's getting more attention.
