MB-- I have said from the beginning of this that I thought that Iraq posed a threat. I have also said from the beginning of this that we should build a coalition before doing anything. If there is enough evidence of a threat, that will be enough evidence to build a coalition. If we decide to go alone, whether we are right or wrong, that will be a huge problem.

How would attacking ourselves prevent an accidental nuclear threat. What is an accidental nuclear threat?

If there are any Israeli generals sleeping soundly at night with all the problems they have over there then I would respectfully submit that the General is numb from the neck up.

Since the existence of Western Civilization itself depends on oil, it's very much in the interests of the entire Western world to remove this guy from power. Bleeding-ass liberals, environmentalists, and the French may not like that particular fact, but it simply is.

Well in that case I predict the entire collapse of Western Civilization as you know it in 50 years when all the oil has gone. Oh, and to cheer you up some more, we only have 100 odd years left of coal too...

Before then hopefully civilization will wake up and turn to engine techs that don't use much gas or hell don't use any gas. What about natural gas and corn-gas? How are supplies of natural gas? Methane can be extracted from landfills, no? I'm betting that when dino fuel starts running low that we'll need these alternatives.

There are untapped oil reserves in the former soviet union and the Gulf Of Mexico that will make the Middle East seem like a drop in the bucket. Alberta also has enormous oil reserves but the oil is too expensive to process. Anyways, even if we have the oil is it wise to continue to rely on it exclusively without exploring alternatives? Is it worth the environmental destruction of surveying and extracting oil? I think that better choices lie ahead.
