Second hand smoking will kill you -- you know. So driving home drunk trying to weave through all the innocent bystanders has now become a Olympic sport?

At this rate, I would not be surprised if prohibition comes back.

And the 10 commandments in courthouses? Who needs them? I shall not commit murder is a bit obsolete for our time any how. However for some weird reason or strange coincidence...."in god we trust" is still printed on the dollar bill.

Maybe invite a few friends at home to drink with you? It's a lot cheaper and safer!

How about you just round up all the smokers in ghettos or concentration camps?

How about quitting?

Come on... The tobacco companies don't like quitters. If you gonna smoke, don't stop...

Free enterprise is too loosely defined to be a useful term in a debate.

I no longer smoke, but this just seems wrong to me. Anyone can feel free to open a bar which does not allow smoking for all those who get bothered by it.

Only because there is no precedence in a court of law to decide other wise in any particular state.

Law has always sided for the "common good" of society. However is it constitutional? Constitutional law supersedes any state law.

I didn't mean you, I meant smokers in general.

Quitters never win and winners never quit. But if you never win and never quit then you're a moron.

Yeah, but the employees are the ones who suffer. It's a bar, drink. Just because drinking makes you want to smoke shouldn't matter.. drinking makes some people want to shoot off guns... should they allow guns in bars for this reason? Flawed logic, probably, but why should people who don't smoke be force to breathe smoke or get shot when they go out to a club?

I adore no smoking bars in the Region where I go to University... coming back to regular, smoking bars makes me want to burn my clothes and hack up a diseased lung after I go out for a drink after work

For Ontario at least, it's a municipal decision, not provincial - therefore, it varies greatly from municipality to municipality. I'll not comment on the American definitions of Constitutionality vs. Common Law as I know far too little.
