No Quarter

The only reason I brought it up is because I saw another thread where a bunch of people said No Quarter was their favorite Zeppelin song, but I personally couldn't ever get into it after hearing the Tool cover.

Wasn't sure if anyone else thought that as well.
 
The solo of the live version of No Quarter from The Song Remains the Same is probably one of the best instrumentals ever recorded. It's amazing!

I'll see if I can snip the solo portion out when I get home. If you guys are good I might be able to do video 😉
 
A deft cover indeed, but the Zeppelin track is creepier to me still. Didn't they slow down the recording to give it that eerie sound?
 
The Tool version is awesome, don't get me wrong... but I don't like the opening few minutes where the lyrics are all muffled sounding. In the original, you can hear Plant's voice much better.
