No one's talking about the GTA4 release?

I updated my computer (3.0 ghz C2D w/ 3870 to 4.0 ghz C2D w GTX 260) primarily to play this game maxed out. Granted, the 30% off from ebay helped immensely (all parts for $350).

I'm counting the days! Anyone else?

GTA franchise is pretty lackluster. I think people are more concerned with the impending responsibility add-on to their MMOjobs.

I would have been a lot more excited about it if it had been released closer to the console versions. After I played it on my friends' xboxes, I was aching for some high-def mayhem, but I've been occupied with CoD4 and Fallout 3 lately.

I played for about 10 minutes on my friends xbox and quit so i wouldn't ruin it for myself 🙂

I was into it o the console for the first couple hours, then it got boring. Therefore I'm not looking forward to it on the PC. GTA games used to be fun in high school.

The only ones I've really played are GTA3 (the first one) and GTA4, and the core gameplay still seems pretty much the same to me.

I've nearly finished the game on my PS3, but I haven't played it in about 5 months. People talked about its release back in March, April, May. It's old news already.

I'd say most people who were interested in the game have already played it on consoles. I fall into that category. IMO, it seems like more of a ploy to milk a little bit more money out of the game at this point. They did the game thing with the other GTA games which were released for PC many months after the console version. They might also get people buying the game again to play it in higher rez, ability to mod, etc.. Makes sense for the publisher I guess.

Me too. I've only played GTA3 on a console. And only for a few hours. Played through the rest of them on the PC multiple times.

Says who? When it's released that's exactly how I'll be playing it on my PC. 🙂

Just because it's a PC, doesn't mean you have to play games on a 20-something inch screen with a keyboard and mouse. 😉

I was more hyped for The Witcher EE than the PC version of GTAIV. I will be honest, and I will say that I did liked GTAIII, and I played some Vice City, but then I realized just how boring it was on a long-term basis, it's very repetitive. Maybe that GTAIV is more varied, yes, but it's still about getting in vehicles, running over innocents, beating hookers, getting chased by police and military and dealing with drug dealers. I know a lot of people like that, it sold a lot, I won't deny it, but from now on and in fact since a couple of years it's not the type of game I'm looking for anymore.

What? Noone said anything about screen size... I said i would lie in bed playing the 360, you cant lie in bed and play the PC... unless you play it with a gamepad in which case it might as well be the 360 version.
