I have 2 movies from netflix, 1 or 2 movies i borrowed from a friend, 5 GC, 5 wii, and 2 VC games for the Wii, my camera, several pc games that i barely played, and my guns. oh and work, but i don't think i've ever been motivated about work.

I can't seem to bring myself to do anything but read or browse/post on ATOT. If I do use any of the above mentioned things, its for a short period.

i haven't even touched my camera in weeks. i just don't seem to have any interest in anything.
vodka may help.

I'm kind of the same way. Working the graveyard shift kind of isolates me from my friends and other people around me. When I do have days off I'm always tired. I kinda figured it was from my lack of exercise and poor diet. I have been trying to slowly change things around, force myself to go do things that I just "dont feel like doing". Its all about self motivation.

you're not alone buddy. im just looking forward to kicking that funk away. i think a girl helps and thats what im trying to do. good luck.

I'm a bit curious why you think a girl is going to help? What exactly is she going to do? I can understand why people think females help as they believe they're just lonely. I thought that was the truth for awhile, but I realized after getting a girlfriend that I wasn't right. I highly doubt loneliness is the issue. Look at what happened, the condition put you into a state of loneliness... a state of reduced caring.... It's like A caused B, and you're just trying to fix B thinking A will go away.

i think loneliness might have a good bit to do with my situation. not necessarily not having a girl, but just friends in general. i have one good friend that i'm lucky to see/hang out with once a month. we talk on the phone or through email more often though.

but still thats it. i have work "friends" but i really don't have anything in common with any of them.

in my case it cheered me up. i usually just follow the daily grind... work, go home, stay home on the weekends, and repeat the process every week. i just started hanging out more recently with some older friends from high school and it's a blast. i started hanging out with a girl and i really love how it drives me crazy sometimes just thinking about her.

My suggestions-

1. go somewhere where you can see life doing it's thing. Could be people at a mall or library, could be ducks at a lake. Realize you are part of all that you see.

2. go somewhere where someone needs you and help them. trust me, there are lots of people who need your help. if you can't think of anything else, go to a nursing home and let some old people talk to you.

do those things every day.

HEY send me the Wii, my kids and I have been dying to play with it, just cant afford one right now. But if you have no use for it we will put it to good use over here :D

Your in a rut, I suggest you turn off the puter and force yourself into go having some fun, dont end up like me. I been stuck in front of this damn thing for over 4 years, but its because I cant really do anything else because of my situation, whats your excuse? You got a working back and a pair of working legs, go do something dammit! You will just end up as a non fun funboy ;) You want that do you, a 400lb fat blob of goo? At least go do something and do it for me since I cant! I haven't been to the bars, or nudity bar in a bit go there and take pics, hell I havent been to anything fun is a very long time, other then walmart once a month, go anywhere and bring me back pictures!

Wanna take a trip down here and hang out, I can use some company, I sit here 5 days a week for 9 hours by myself with nothing but my computer and ATOT as my buddy.

It could be your diet.

I suffered from severe depression (to the point of suicidal thoughts) but ultimately my problem was diet. I had undiagnosed Celiac Disease, which meant whenever I consumed grain proteins (from wheat, barley, rye, spelt) my body was attacking itself...it's an auto-immune disorder. I was most likely being starved of nutrients and low serum levels of the B vitamins and Vitamin D can manifest in depression. Once I stopped eating these toxic grains my condition improved pretty dramatically.

Generically, regular exercise and getting out in the sun can be very beneficial for many people.

u never had a blood test?

a simple blood test determine low serum levels of the B vitamins and Vitamin D
