Today I couldn't take it anymore. I got this job that I thought was pretty great and soon realized that my boss is a true Dr. Jkyle(SP?)/Mr. Hyde. He's belittling, demeaning, and a fvcking prick. After having him do it to me yet again today, I almost told him that I was going to walk out right then and there.

We were moving our office to another city, so I stayed to help. Once I got to the new office, I thought that things might be different and maybe I could try to make it work. Well, not the case. He calls in and jumps on my case about yet another thing. (He expects me to be a mind reader and know everything.) I was belittled and made to feel about two inches tall in my relationship and I don't need it from my boss!

He doesn't know it yet, but I'm not going back.

Now it's time to find another job. *sigh*

Money is not worth that kind of crap. Good luck with the new job. Talk to friends, find a good boss. A good boss makes a job.

Report him for sexual harassment. Stick to your guns and he will lose his job.

Obviously the most reasonable answer :disgust:

Aren't you the one who thought she was being called into her the office to be fired by her boss only to be given a different, better assignment/promotion????

If so, that was only a week or so ago right?

So think of a better one. Or just sit down and know your role.

You mean not even going to call and let them know? Just not show up? That's the best way to quit

Let em see how long it takes to figure it out. Nothing better than that satisfaction :) Truely worth it.

Sorry to hear that you have such a louse for a boss. I've had a couple of bosses who were jerks, but they didn't have too much to say to me because I would point out my displeasure with their behavior as soon as they started exhibiting it. People like that tend to avoid people who make them try to defend their behavior since they really have no defense for it. It was easy for me to do that though because I'm in a job where supervisors are expected to behave in a professional manner at all times and the employees have pretty good job security.

I hope you find a job with a good boss, those are the best, good luck!

That sucks. I had a couple of bosses like that once - I was soooo grateful to escape.

Good luck!!

Your boss sounds like a real psychopathic ass. Your job obviously is less than desirable to you. Up and quitting is something many fantasize about.

But the bills don't pay themselves, and food isn't free. How are you fixed for The Almighty Dollar? Can you AFFORD to quit? Paying the rent by taking credit card advances is not a good idea.

It's not sexual harassment and that'd be just plain wrong.

I worked in a call center like that. I had no job lined up, no savings, I just quit. I had to. My sanity was worth a helluva lot more than $ at that point and time. I mean I would have been driven to the point of insanity it was that bad. Call centers are for some people and then for some, it's PURE HELL!

I'm going to take the time to respond to everyone a little later, but two things first....

One, I'm NOT (Sorry about that) doing the sexual harassment thing. It wasn't sexual harassment and I may not like the guy, but I'm not into lying to ruin his life for making mine hell for a little while.

Two, I'm not just walking away without letting him know. How I'm going to let him know yet, I'm not certain. I know it would be better to do it by phone or in person, but I don't feel like hearing whatever smartass thing he had to say or let him have another chance to make me feel bad about myself. So, I might write up an e-mail to send it to him, but I don't know what all to say or if that's really what I should do.

Ideas/suggestions?

EDIT:
Fixed my mistake.

You could do it in person and make sure to have someone you trust within a earshot because if what your saying is true it is harassment, just not sexual, and can use that person for unemployment or lawsuit if you chose to take it that far.

You can quit your job and collect unemployment in the mean time ONLY if you can prove you were harassed into a situation you were forced to quit due to emotional troubles due to your boss.
