Unfortunately, I can find nothing to substantiate the idea that the Louden County school board removed any books from any list, and I have looked. You have repeated it several times so you must have a source, and I would appreciate it if you would post it.
Are you being serious? I already posted a link to it with the nypost article. I'll do it again.
Virginia school district refuses to tout Dr. Seuss’ birthday on Read Across America Day
They will not fete him here or there. They will not fete him anywhere. A Virginia school district refuses to tout Dr. Seuss’ birthday on Read Across America Day on Tuesday — claiming th…
The Louden School District literally went to lengths to not recommend Dr Seuss books on the Read Across America event which is literally based upon Dr Seuss's birthday as a celebration to him and childhood reading. Don't conflate "not recommending or not encouraging" with banning. I never said they banned the books and no one I know has made that claim either. At most, the strong term used is "cancelled" which isn't the same thing as banned which is a term used by more conservative news outlets like fox for example.
Virginia school system cancels Dr. Seuss, citing racial 'undertones' in writings: report
Celebrated American children’s author Dr. Seuss is now considered too controversial for one of Virginia's largest school districts
Here is Louden School District official page and public statement to the rumor of bannings.
Dr. Seuss books have not been banned in Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS). LCPS believes this rumor started because March 2 is “Read Across America Day.” Schools in LCPS, and across the country, have historically connected Read Across America Day with Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Research in recent years has revealed strong racial undertones in many books written/illustrated by Dr. Seuss. Examples include anti-Japanese American political cartoons and cartoons depicting African Americans for sale captioned with offensive language. Given this research, and LCPS’ focus on equity and culturally responsive instruction, LCPS provided this guidance to schools during the past couple of years to not connect Read Across America Day exclusively with Dr. Seuss’ birthday. We continue to encourage our young readers to read all types of books that are inclusive, diverse and reflective of our student community, not simply celebrate Dr. Seuss. Dr. Seuss books have not been banned and are available to students in our libraries and classrooms, however, Dr. Seuss and his books are no longer the emphasis of Read Across America Day in Loudoun County Public Schools.
I highlighted in bold the part where they are NOT RECOMMENDING Dr Seuss anymore for the Read Across America day.
The official Read Across America website has stripped all references to Dr Seuss as well. Using the official search for ANY Dr Seuss book will not return one as a recommended book to read.

Not that it matters that Dr Seuss isn't mentioned, it just seems weird to have a celebration event for a man's birthday and then never mention that person or his work at all.
