No Halo 2 in 2003!

Daikatana's Multiplayer was actually pretty good.Tweaked q2 physics and awesome rocket jumps.

Nah I was joking. I never played Daikatana. By all accounts it was the worst game ever made, so you're right a lot of delayed games are crap. But halo was late and it really is the cat's meow. Most blizzard games are late too.

Still I don't think duke nukem forever is ever coming out.

<shrugs> Off the top of my head - Sudeki, Brute Force, True Crime, Crimson Skies I believe. Non-exclusive Phantasy Star Online, NBA Street, RTCW, Ninja Gaiden (i think). Those are the ones I know about. Don't have the time to check it all out and don't care as long as I can play it on the Xbox.

What's a long time for you? You do realize that
a) Halo 1 was in development for like what, 3 years? Originally planned for Mac, then for PC and Mac...then for Xbox
b) Halo 2 has been in development just since Halo 1 came out, so like a year and 4 months...not that much time for a game of that caliber. 2 years sounds good for another Halo.


As for upcoming games, SW: KOTOR is going to rock hard. I read a little bit in OXM the other day and they said there's over 10,000 lines that they did voice recording for. Holy crap! That'll be a lot more immersive when every single thing spoken in the game will actually be heard, not just text.

Also Id like to point out, you can not compare Halo 2 to say DNF or any other game in development for 5 years(Diakatana etc). Halo 2 has been in development for around 2 years. Most games take 18-36 months to make, those that create their own engine take longer than those that license an engine.

From what I understand they would like to have them release for Christmas this year, may or may not happen. BC probably wont, Fable is more likely to.

Daikatana is a long way from the worst game ever made.
A bad single player game? yes. Bad Co-op? Could have been worse.
Multiplayer was alot of fun.

The problem with Daikatana is that is was just average, not the bitch making game Romero hyped it to be.

I'm about 90% sure Ninja Gaiden is Xbox only.

As for Halo 2, it's not fair to compare it to DNF and Daikatana. As you pointed out, it has not been in development for very long. And another, Bungie's and MS's reputation and credibility as far as games go is much greater than the makers of DNF and Daikatana.
