I'm sorry xorbe I focused only on the first part of your message.
Thank you anyway, I wish I paid more attention, it would have saved me lots of headaches.

You might actually prefer balanced. It keeps the CPU from running at near full clocks when you are barely doing anything and rarely, if ever, has an affect on gaming.

I would set the power settings back to defaults, and then leave it on balanced.

You can make shortcuts on the desktop. I switch to 100% when gaming, and normal otherwise.
