That should be a decent cooler for a stock clocked chip. But from the looks of it, the chip is running very hot and declocking itself.

That or the efi/bios is messed up.

Just to ask the obvious maybe, but is there any TIM on the CPU before you but the cooler on it ?

Probably is, or I doubt it would even post.

That or try re seating it maybe with new stuff.

I put the heat prevention paste on the first installation.

Did you remove the protective plastic from the cooler before installing? :)

Anyway, just run coretemp or some other program that shows temperature on the pc, if it gets hot it'll show.

Wow!! This is really bad.
I'm gonna get a new heat paste tube and reinsert the cpu and I'll try to understand why the speed Is maxed at 800

Just make sure you use just enough to cover the surface with a very thin layer. Too much will reduce heat transfer.

SOLVED!! the solution makes me even more mad than the problem.
Apparently windows decided to run with power saving settings, with maximum core speed set at 5%. aaaaghhhh!!!
I changed the power options to "high performance" and now I got this score in FS:

Thank you very much everyone for the brain storming.

Windows does not do that. You might want to consider human factor here, either you or someone else.

Another issue I ran into was that the non-Steam version of the game gave me much poorer results than the Steam version. I'm not sure what was missing on the non-Steam version, but it certainly isn't the one to use it seems.

DUDE in post #2 I told you to check those settings.

I'm sorry xorbe I focused only on the first part of your message.
Thank you anyway, I wish I paid more attention, it would have saved me lots of headaches.
