No BCS rankings (10/25) thread yet?

As I said in other threads, if you don't think Iowa could beat either Boise or Cincy you're fucking retarded. Therefore they should be ranked above them.

Boise State is going to get left out of a BCS bowl for the 2nd straight year if TCU ends up running the table.

The USC/Iowa line is tough to draw, I might be USC a spot above Iowa, but perhaps not by much. This year USC has lost a bit. I think I'd have LSU up there, too, above Iowa.

Oregon vs So Cal will fix part of the situation. The experts need to start figuring how bad the beatdown will be next weekend. I say Oregon wins by at least 2 touchdowns.

Boise needs something to happen to Iowa and Texas. Otherwise it will be Florida/Alabama #1, Texas #2, Iowa #3, Boise #4.

With that said, Alabama could screw up against LSU but still beat Florida and then you have the "how good is the SEC?" question pop up again. Although I say any 1 loss SEC team doesn't deserve to jump any undefeated teams this year. The top SEC teams have been living on the edge these past few weeks against teams they should not be.

It's too early to tell where Cincy should because because they still have to play WVU and Pitt. They could be like Auburn and win out but not in the championship game.

You guys are forgetting about TCU. If they get past #16 Utah and run the table, They'll still be ahead of Boise State.

The NCG? I don't see Iowa getting there. If anything, I could see them going undefeated and still not getting into the game when SOS is counted.

Oregon is going to crush USC as Oregon is at home.

If Iowa beat Ohio State on 11/14 they then they will move up big.

Alabama at LSU is a big game next week and then they should meet Florida.

Lots of big games coming up to reduce the unbeatens in the nation but I see TCU leapfrogging Boise State quickly due to strenght of schedule.

What I want to know is how Iowa is above Boise State. Who the crap has Iowa beaten? Only Penn State and Boise State beat Oregon. The computers must be on crack to have Iowa at 1.

You're forgetting every "big" team TCU is playing is turning out not to be very good. They beat Clemson and BYU. Clemson lost to Maryland (lol), and BYU lost to Florida State (lol). Boise beat a good Oregon team. I do think Boise needs to pick some tougher teams, but TCU needs some of their opponents to be better otherwise they will stay behind Boise. At the end of the season, the difference will be Boise beat a top 10 team, and TCU did not.

you make it sound as if Iowa's SOS is not as good as Bama/Florida/Texas ???? Want to clarify that a bit?

I watched the Alabama - Tenn game after I got home today. I saw a very very tired team in need of a bye week surviving against a team coming in from a bye week. Nearly every championship team is going to have one or two games (or more) a season where they survived more than they won against a perceived lesser opponent.

That said, I'm glad the bye week for Bama is finally here. Hopefully, they can get McElroy back to form in the passing game before LSU. That's the only thing the offense is lacking right now.

Oh my god, that was an emotionally draining game.

Cal back in the rankings? lol not even Cal fans think they deserve that 24th spot. In the past we've at least been able to play a competetive loss to USC.

Must be nice to have bye weeks in the middle of the season.

More like the end of the season. The Tennessee game was Alabama's 8th straight game. There are only 4 regular season games left.

Bama proved they have the best defense in the country, hands down. We'll see how they do against FL in the SEC Championship game.

They proved that in the TN game... how? Special teams is not defense.

You haven't followed Alabama this year, have you? lol

It's possible, but holding UT to ten points doesn't make your case. No doubt that's a very very good D, but I disagree with the "hands down" part. UF's D might be just as good.

UT's defense played just as well as Bama's. UT's offense played better than Bama's. In the end the ST is what won that game for Bama.

Hell, had Kiffin had full confidence in the offense there is a good chance we would have had a much shorter FG or even a TD with the way things were going at the end of the game. He took the safe route and paid for it but I'm still proud of how well they played.
