NK tested the weapon

I think maybe they said they tested it.. but I don't really believe there is any weapon yet.

I'm sorry.. but I just don't see them putting together a nuclear weapon - and I already know that 'sources' already say they have more than one.

lol.. put away your tinfoil hats

i for one dont believe North Korea has any nukes

it's all a power ploy to get more aid form the US/south Korea

North Korea said last week that it planned to test a nuclear weapon, in defiance of international warnings, because of what it called US hostility
wtf?

china needs to take them out now.

From the research I have done, it is NOT at all difficult to construct a single-stage nuclear weapon. The biggest difficulty is obtaining the right nuclear material. As long as they have that, essentially any machine shop could build one.

We'll all know soon enough. You can't hide underground nuke tests from seismic readings.

china won't take them out, china loves nk. perfect buffer against anyone really concentrating on chinas human rights abuses and problems. keeps the attention far away

Any Japanese here? Would a N Korean nuke test be enough to drive the atom-phobic Japanese over the edge to develop a Device?

Or will the Japanese reaction be to beef up conventional military capability instead?

Considering the new PM is a conservative, I highly doubt they will just roll over and continue business as usual wrt Dear Leader Kim.

If and when confirmation comes that NK atomic devices are missile-launchable, the Japanese public is going to be in a REAL tizzy.

and well, just more proof organizations like the un have no balls. the euros like to talk about the wonders of diplomacy while sh*ts like kim jong just laugh in their face

Japan has no need to develope a nuclear weapon. If Japan were ever attacked with nuclear weapons, the US would respond in kind. Japan has the use of nuclear weapons without all the downsides (being responsible, fear from other countries, cost, etc).

oh, the japanese are so totally going nuclear now. the international system has proven itself ineffective. perhaps they'll also amend their constitution so they can fight wars now too. south korea may perhaps, i dunno. japan is certainly just months away from a nuke.

No, what the UN does NEXT will prove whether or not it has a set. They warned him, he did it anyway, now they have to take action.
