Yeah, really. I go to the beaches in South Jersey all the time... And ALWAYS stop in Delaware for gas. Fsck full service. And I also keep a VERY wide berth between me and any vehicle wearing NJ tags. I fear those lunatics even more than the PA drivers.

Watch your mouth.

New Jersey does in fact suck though. I'm ashamed to be a river away.

damn right

Yeah, but what would you care? With the exception of the sales tax, you pay none.

Well, at least we don't have to deal with dumb women starting fires at our gas stations.

NJ does that crap too? Man...when I lived in Oregon it was such a PITA to have some bum service-man touch my car.

Yup Oregon and New Jersey are the only 2 states in the US where the local government thinks its populace is too retarded to pump their own gas.

that was the only thing that really annoyed me when i visited my friends in jersey a week ago...

also, the beach was too cold (this was at long island beach).

Long Beach Island, and what do you expect in May? The water is fine in the summer.

People who hate NJ haven't experienced what NJ has to offer. Yes, it is an industrial state, but outside of the NY-Philadelphia corridor there are many very nice areas.

That, and I don't like lots of people, hot weather, humidity, A-type personalities, people in a hurry, east coast elitism, the accents, social climbers, pollution, right-wing conservative republicans, hardcore capitalists, etc.

So yeah, not in my favorite list of places.

you forgot sh!tty agressive but not capable drivers, illegal immigrants, the most corrupt politicians in the country, the pot hole capitol, ppl too stupid to pump their own gas...way high taxes, and a DMV that is worse than the mafia.

but i disagree about the right wingers... nj is filled with sheeple who vote dem without thinking of why... not that there is anything wrong with voting dem... but at least believe in what you are voting, ya know... ppl here are clueless, but it is a very dem voting state.

this is one of the richest states in the union, but have more slums than anyplace I have ever lived. they are forcing expansion of parts of the state that cannot accomodate it, but think it will bring in more $$$.

Atlantic City is full of beggers, weirdo and losers. The jersey shore is just as bad during the summer and I feel bad for the ppl who have to live there all year long and deal with that.

I hate it here. but the b/f makes a lot of money.

Yeah, doesn't it suck looking across the river at the awesomeness and then realizing how crappy your state is? :p

You Pennsylvanians love our state so much, you even named a town after us:

And it's a good 3+ hours from the Jersey shore, no less.

That's not why... Its to create jobs.

NJ is pretty great though. There is a lot to do and it's all nearby. Taxes suck and housing costs are outrageous but for everything else... Jersey > *

NJ & CA are probably the two most anti-gun states in the union.

I will never live in either.

Oh and to whoever mentioned "east coast elitism" you're dead on. Went from OR to PA & even here it's insane. At least PA is about as gun friendly as they come.

One of the republicans seeking the nomination for governor says he's going to work to pass a shall-issue law... not likely going to happen. He probably won't get elected either with his no-nonsense comments about gays ("I believe in tolerance - they should tolerate our institution of marriage as it is") and his plans to substantially cut funding to low-income school districts.

I had a lot of second looks at my license plate when I went to the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot this year.
