Ok well this is again speculation from the inquirer but sounds good enough for me
I cant beleave nvidia haven?t learned from there mistakes with the 4x2/8x1 Design in the end all games ended up using the 4x2 and 4x1 and the card could not match ATI
Now ATI have gone 12x1 maybe even 16 and Nvidia are going 8x2 and 16x1 in some games this is the whole NV30 all over again I think the CEO should fire the engineers and get in some new people who look to making something new rather then repeating on mistakes anyway if this ends up being the case and its not just more made up crap from the inquire then the true 12x1 .. will kill Nvidias mixed 8x2/16x1 !! 16x1<-- never ends up being used and the multitexture 8x2 never ends up being used and the card ends up an 8x1 card just like the NV30 ended up being used as a 4x1 card.
I wouldnt be suprised if the 9800XT benches the same in older games with the NV40 at 8x1
