GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP)— The Apple Store in Greensboro will be closed all day Friday after a man crashed his car into the store at Friendly Center in an alleged burglary attempt, police said on Friday.

Greensboro police received a call around 4:43 a.m. after a dark gray or blue Honda crashed into the store. According to police, the man crashed into the store in a burglary attempt.

The suspect was dressed in what a witness told 107.5 KZL resembled a ninja suit, drove through the store's plate glass windows early Friday then ran away without taking anything.

A security guard in the store was not hurt in the 4:45 a.m. incident.

Police said the Honda that was abandoned at the store was reported stolen more than an hour after the crash.around 6 a.m.

Officers said there was only one person inside the vehicle.

Uh so owner conveniently reports it stolen an hour after it was driven into an Apple store...

Uhh it happened at 4:45 in the morning, he probably got up for work at 5:30 and realized his car was gone shortly after. I'm pretty sure if my car was stolen at 4:45 I wouldn't know about it until later.

Would you notice your car was stolen at 4:45 in the morning? The guy probably reported it as soon as he went to head out for the day and realized his car was gone.

I think that the fact that the burglar dressed himself up as a ninja narrows down the pool of possible suspects. You're looking for either a crazy Japanese man or a nerd that thinks ninjas are cool.
