Just placed an order last night, and recieved an email to call them regarding the order. While the person on the other end of the phone was trying to sell me accessories for the cameara, he was very courteous and didn't make any hard press to sell. I just told him that I've already ordered memory from another location (which I have), and that I wanted to test out the battery before I decide if I want to order a second one (which is also true).
Great place to deal with. Can't wait to get this puppy in my hands.

should i just not even call them "regarding order" to avoid the hard sell garbage?

Might as well call 'em. Only takes about 2 minutes if you get them.
Also, it doesn't help to leave a message saying you don't need anything extra. I did that and he still called back with a couple pitches.
i never got the email ... so i dont think that mattersOriginally posted by: ThaPerculator
I just received the same e-mail, but from Patrick... I'm going to try not giving them a call and seeing if it ships anyways. Well, unless I get really bored on my lunch hour, that is...

I never received the "shipped" e-mail yet, so I just called the guy and he of course tried to upsell me... Says it'll ship tomorrow and take 7 business days to get here... wtf... I want the free 2-Day like you guys, lol.

FYI, you can get replacement batteries for these for $10 shipped on ebay. Just bought one.
Costs practically just as much as the disposable ones, in case you want to buy one as a "last-ditch backup" to keep in your glove box or something. This camera deal keeps getting sweeter and sweeter. Can't wait to get it.

Was about to buy a Canon A400, but this looks to be a much nicer camera for even less money. Thanks for posting!

Since writing this, I did a bit of checking around the reviews for this camera, and the A400. While the Nikon has some nicer features (3x zoom compared to 2.2 on the Canon), I'd say the Canon wins on the thing that really matters, image quality. Easiest thing to point out would be look at the leaves on the trees in the pics, they look noticeably soft/unfocused in the nikon, while they're much sharper with the Canon, which retails for ~$150, no rebates.[/L]
