<< oh, MPsuperstore charged me $108.56 in tax and shipping to send it to me in NY, so i passed on that deal, it would hve made it pointless, and , i forgot to mention, that cameraworld is selling the nikon for $749, and ritz gladly pricematches with them, bringing teh total down to

$299
>>

I think someone mentioned in a previous thread that Ritz wouldn't pricematch with camerworld, because one of them sells it as some type of bundle with useless stuff.

Also, can anyone verify their order with mpsuperstore.com, and those who received and had problems with their orders?

Ritzcamera does not charge for shipping or tax in ANY state, as long as the order is over $100.

They absorb the cost of sales tax in states where they have a physical loaction.

I know this from personal experience, as well as from reading the banner across the top of their homepage.

I hope this helps anyone who was deterred from Ritz by the post above.

just so you know, ritzcamera DOES pricematch with cameraworld.com, i just did it myself, and i talked to customer service about it before i ordered to make sure it was an option, she said the "digital advantage" was an added bonus they give us the customers

when I talked to Ritzcamera CSR, she said the pricematch wouldn't work with cameraworld.com since it's a diff bundle
But I must say their customter service is one of the best I've seen! They ship their goods in a day and reply to your email 24/7 within few hours.
If you are looking to get this camera, don't risk it with mpsuperstore and go with ritz

I thought AMEX Blue won't pricematch if the site you purchased your item from has their own pricematching policy?

So, wouldn't that rule out Ritz Camera as a possible merchant to use your AMEX PM ability?

rootaxs-

I was assured by a Amex BVG rep that they (AMEX) would pick-up the slack in any pricematching policy. For example, Regency is not a site Ritz will match, so AMEX will step up and do the match.

My notes from the conversation are at home, but I did take the CSR's name and ID number for confirmation.

Good Luck,

Argh. I called the folks over at MPSUPERSTORE and asked them if they have any idea of why I didn't receive my confirmation e-mail; they placed me on hold and then started recapping my order and tried selling me accessories. I told him no thanks and then he said thanks for calling then; and I then quickly asked him what about my order number and e-mail and he said that my order number is my confirmation number and hung up.
Shoot, I'm now begining to wonder how legit this place actual is...

IceBlue,

Thanks for the information! That surely helps clear up some misconceptions (at least to me)

ice, i do have one other question. Can we do it so that Ritz will pricematch with Cameraworld and once that purchase is done and over with have Blue PM the Ritz price with another vendor?

Sorry rootaxs,

I didn't want to push my luck with the multiple pricematches and have the AMEX match fall apart on a technicality.

Let us know if you get it to work though

still waiting on my MSN confirmation :(

and when i called for the AMEX pricematch today, she said i needed the date/time on the webpage? Regency doesn't have that, does that mean i can't get the pricematch, or can i just print out the page so it does have the date and time????

Hey Bonk, I did the full Monty. If you print out the web page from regency you will get a date and time on it from your printer. That is all they want. Then, before you get off the phone after setting up the PM, tell them you are faxing immediately. I price matched Ritz with Dell, who is on their list. Got $100 from Ritz in form of credit to my Amex card and received the $250.00 from Amex on Saturday. Now I am waiting on the MSN rebate and Nikon rebate. Also jumped on the HP1115 printer and have a $75.00 rebate coming from that. Bottom line is $249.00 for the Nikon 995. I bought a firewire card reader for 50.00 off of ebay and a 256 mb kingston card from Dell during that awsome deal for $68.00 after rebate.
The extra battery was purchased for $39.00 shipped from www. batterybarn.com and has more power than original. AM I SET? YOU BET!!!!! Last year it was the MCI $150.00 GC to amazon to get free DVD player,
this year it is the 995 deal.

jsfiat:

just out of curiosity, since Ritz has that stupid $100 Ritz Digital Advantage, did AMEX take that into consideration when you PM Ritz with Regency camera? Or for that matter, how did you get Ritz to PM with Dell when it's fairly certain that Ritz would use the $100 Ritz Digital Advantage as a discount.

Plus, does AMEX know anything about the Nikon $100 rebate? Is it included on the sales reciept from Ritz?

thanks.
