Night sweats

Here's an interesting one:

Since about 2 weeks ago, I've been waking up every night - sometimes several times a night, soaking wet from sweat. D: The thing is though, absolutely nothing has changed. The thermostat is set to the same temp it always is, I have the same sheets/blankets on my bed that I always have, etc. But all of a sudden I'm having these night sweats every night. Any ideas? 😕

If you've been having these with any frequency, you need to go see your physician. It could be something minor, but the serious pathologies it could be include tuberculosis and more commonly lymphoma (cancer). When working in the physical therapy clinic, this is a sign that will almost always cause me to refer the patient to a physician. If I were in your position, I'd see a doctor in the very near future.

Happend again last night - woke up 5 times soaking wet. Maybe I should see a doctor. I hope I'm not dying. :\

Don't jump to any conclusions before you see your physician. It could honestly be something like anxiety or vigorous dreaming, but it is something that needs to be checked out soon regardless. Let us know how it goes.

EDIT: Could also be something simple like GERD, thyroid dysfunction, or adverse effects from medications. Like I said, no need to jump to conclusions before you see your doc.

That used to happen to me too. Found out it was my jaw becoming too relaxed during REM sleep thus causing sleep apnea. I have remedied the problem since.

do you go to the gym late at night and go to bed soon afterwards. If I do a late workout and then go to bed soon afterwards I have exactly the same problem

so you didn't see a doctor I guess?

It sometimes happen to me but like just once in the night, and it happens very rarely.

Rather than guessing at what could be going on, I'd second the suggestion to just get checked out by a physician.

Get to your doctor, ASAP. Not something to play around with. Depending on your age/gender the first thing a doctor will check for is lymphoma (as already mentioned).
