Actually...mildly interesting story...I got the TV two weeks ago...my roommate and I agreed to split a TV, so we picked the cheapest 27" SDTV that we could find that had s-video (according to the sign in CC). Well, needless to say, we got it back, opened the box, and...no svideo. I took it back the next day, and they replace my genericorp brand with a magnavox, free of charge. It not only has svideo, but component. now all I need is to grab the adapter for my old radeon, assuming it's worth it for an SDTV...Jello,thoughts?

I wouldn't worry about anything over s-video unless it's basically free to do it.

I had quite a hard time noticing the difference between s-video and component input from my old DVD player to my 36" wega when I had it.

Bigger difference going from s-video to component for my projector on computer display though as it has different resolutions available that I need.

Technical Support is the most depressing area that I frequent.

So many unanswered threads and so many problems that I have no clue on :(

You said it's just a regular tv right? It's probably not worth it.

I noticed color got very slightly better going to component but sharpness etc didn't seem to change. I only tested with a DVD though, not a computer input as I didn't get the component adapter until I got my projector.

If you missed it, I said more about this above.
