<< both look low quality, msrp overpriced >>

No surprise at the inflated MSRP, but what are you judging the 'low quality' aspect on? Just the picture, or have you actually seen the jackets in person? I usually consider the Dockers brand to be of decent quality, so I was wondering.

did a search on net, it's more like $150 retail. And dockers are OK for a mid-low quality brand. to me, the style is boring and the leather just looks low quality

Would have replied to this a few hours back but the computer keeps losing my login for some reason.Anyway,PinkPanther no disrespect but im not sure how you are making these judgements if you havent seen the merchandise in person.I dont agree that dockers is a mid-low quality brand. As for the Croft and Barrow, maybe someone can comment that knows Kohl's as it appears to be a store brand.I dont know since we dont have Kohl's here.I do know these are great prices for leather jackets...and when isnt the msrp overblown?I ordered the bomber jacket so ill know in a week or so its quality, and if the other one retails at 150 then 65 is still a good deal.
I also picked up some polo shirts and the stlye I got were 4 each...Id consider that a hot deal. thanks iwearnosox.

I haven't heard of Kohl's before either. I was looking on thier site and checked for the nearest location to Houston. I came up with TEN new stores, all set to open next month! I can understand a new opening a couple new store, but ten at once? Maybe it's just an old company with a new name.?! Anyway, I just thought it seemed strange.

Kohl's has been around for a long time in the upper midwest and northeast. They
recently expanded into Texas and some other states in a big way. They have
pretty decent prices to begin with, and when they want to clearance something
they drop the price dramatically.

I think you're a bit mistaken, or you've never bought Dockers brand products. They're a "yuppie" brand, and their products are usually very high quality. Dockers casual shoes will set you back $60-$130, pants are hardly ever below $30 (usually $40-$60), and their casual shirts are in the $30 and up range. Dockers is a Levi's product, BTW.

Kohl's is below your nice Department stores like Macy's, Marshall Field's, Nordstrom... and above your Target's, Walmarts, etc. So the quality is mid-range. Kohl's has been around a long time and was started by the Kohl family, a la Senator Herb Kohl from Wisconsin (who owns the Milwaukee Bucks NBA team). The Kohl's family sold the department stores some time ago (there are also Kohl's grocery stores, which I believe were also sold some time ago). The company itself is doing very well and is expanding all over the place. Having grown up in Wisconsin, I have seen Kohl's all my life. I was quite shocked to see them in Virginia when I was in school, but they are popping up all over.

Odd. I remember a Kohls in Austin, TX almost 10 years back. Weird that some in TX haven't heard of the store.

I know this isn't quite close to those prices, but Eddie Bauer was blowing out their leather coats. I picked one up that was normally $378 for $120 and another one that was $32x for $120 as well. They are extremely nice. Very high quality leather. They also have lambskin (coats) ones for the same price. My personal opinion is that these are higher quality than the Kohls coats (either Craft and Barrow or the Dockers). I'd been looking for awhile and know firsthand the quality of all of these coats (I tried them all pn). But, the Kohls coats are significantly less and maybe worth it at those price points. I just found the leathers to be a little less supple and thick than I liked. That being said, the Dockers coat is definitely of better quality (IMHO).

I bought (at Kohl's) the exact same jacket back around X-Mas for about $125 (was 50% Off at the time), and can attest to them being of very nice quality. It has a very nices finish, very soft, smells great and fits great. I liked it over other jackets because it has a nice heavy liner, extra inside pocket for a cell phone (velcro closure) and clean design. I think anyone that got in on one will be very pleased. I'm just bummed I paid $125 for mine :( BTW I have the Dockers brand.

Kohls just moved into the Oklahoma City area in a big way. They are also big around Chicago.

It's sorta like an upscale, say, Walmart. People that wouldn't dream about being caught in a Walmart or even a Target seem to love Kohls. Kohls knows this and aims at those customers. As such, prices are usually a bit high.

The Kohl's Bomber is awesome. It is a very heavy, premium quality leather coat and it comes in Tall sizes. Kohl's was selling it at the MSRP until Thanksgiving and it was generally $150-175 during the holidays. I would be all over this, except my size (XLT) is sold out!

A few other pluses with Kohls.com.

If you are a first time customer and register on the site you get 10% off your first order.

Shipping is only $5 + $1 for each additional item. I ordered two leather jackets and only paid $6 shipping.

They have a very good return policy. Plus return an online purchase at a B&M store an you get a 10% coupon for your next B&M purchase.

Only downside is that they charge sales tax if there is a store in your state.

I went by a Kohls B&M and they had a good selection of the bomber jackets left...including a bunch of XLT and XXLT (which I bought). They are soft, heavy, good quality and the XXLT is comfortably loose around my chest and long enough in the arms to reach my wrists.

Ordered the Dockers Jacket earlier this evening. I was in the market for a leather jacket (got burned by the recent Saks Zegna jacket deal and continually miss the Mossimo deal). I think $65 is a great deal on a jacket that normally sells for about $150 and lists for $325. Heck, $65 is good for a leather jacket, period. Added in a purse for my wife (she picked it out - $3.75 (normally $50+).

I placed my order 2 days ago... on 14 they clearance items... (all was in stock)
Yesterday morning I got e-mail about my order doficiation.. one itemwas gone
after few hours I got another e-mail. one more item was gone from my order.
When I tryed to cansel.. they said: no way order is in processing.. in general you need to be happy with stuff they'll send you.

BTW after second canselation e-mail I checked they web site. the items taken from my order was still there. I was able to put them in my shoping bag and go to chekout.

And in general Kohls has overpriced ok quality stuff. The main thing with Kohls is that they constantly having a sale so usualy it makes prices ok too, but they web ordering/inventory tracking system need to be improved.

I get home from work today and there is a Kohl's box on my front porch. This is amazing as I only ordered this 2 days ago, 2/13 in the early A.M. I open the box and what is inside? One of the coolest leather jackets I have ever seen!!!! (This is the James Dean Dockers Jacket). I almost payed $200 for an Alfani jacket just like this one at Lazarus the other day. Thank you for the cool post!! I got the 10% off and I also received a $10 off any item at B&M on Kohls charge. The $10 off coupon is good on ANY purchase over $10 on your Kohls charge (except gift cards).

The jacket is a good quality, heavy leather. The lining is silky smooth and has a pocket. One of the best deals I have gotten here yet. I purchased 2 of the Amazon/Taget jackets for ~30 and gave them away as gifts, this jacket is far superior.
