Well, I guess I don't have to wait til the 2006 Olympics to see men prance around on ice.

Prance around on ice, huh? Hockey players are far tougher, and are paid less/will be paid a lot less than baseball and basketball players. I bet if your pansy ass was put on an NHL rink you'd be laid out in less than a minute.
I'd say 4 seconds, that ice is pretty slippery.

NFS4 is from Carolina - has no idea of what hockey actually requires :p

How can people like Baseball and then think Hockey sucks?

Indeed.

Lazy american's I suppose, I love how a lot of people try to pass baseball off as a physically demanding sport. More overweight, tobacco spitting, overpaid jerkoff's then any other sport thats for sure. And the 'roids thing makes it all even worse.
You don't have to be in shape to be a baseball player, but you do have to be in reasonable shape to be a good baseball player. In any event, baseball is a physically demanding sport if you want to be at the top, maybe not in the cardio-vascular sense, but I assure you that it is physically demanding to throw 100+ pitches in an MLB game. And if you don't believe me, just look at how many players have to go through arm surgery every year.

Anyhow, I'm glad to see that hockey is back, I just hope they don't implement all the rule changes they are propoposing.

THEE only thing left is....

What do the Wings offer Yzerman? He's unrestricted and he rather play shuffleboard than play outside of Detroit. If he opened a Paypal account, I betcha he could snag an extra milllion.

Is Stevie Y playing another season? The fans should all thank their lucky stars if he does. And if his swan song was missed... omg. That would suck... Nieuwendyk was always one of my favourites too, and I bet we missed his last season as well. Oh well, bring on the new guys.

Damn straight! Is that your own pic? Great Newie trivia...

Who was the third player EVAR to score 50+ goals in his first 2 NHL seasons, behind Gretzky & Bossy?

JOE FRICKIN' NIEUWENDYK! w00t

without all of his injuries... ie. bad knees... he would have lit it UP so much. man, i love that guy.
