Seems to me that there are two high school football teams are being paid NFL level salaries, are playing each others.

Totally agreed on Peters. To me, the halo of his prior rep obscures his present mediocrity. Kind of a bust of an acquisition for what was expected out of him.

I don't want to get too excited because the Birds have a brutal upcoming schedule and still have huge holes which can be exploited by good teams (which I kind of thought the Falcons were -- they didn't show it).

One thing. I saw a piece on ESPN about how the Eagles are shopping Kolb before the trade deadline. That is beyond ridiculous as a rumor. No self-respecting sportswriter should be putting something like that out there.

Vick (whom I am liking this year) is NOT the long-term answer for the Eagles, and any sane NFL scribe more than knows that.

Agree on Peters. Bills fans were saying he wasn't worth his reputation when he was traded for our first. I guess they were right - but you'd think it was a product of being on an abysmal team. I guess he's more Peerless Price than... who's a guy that the Bills traded and ended up being good?

ESPN and reputable don't belong in the same sentence. Was it Sal Paolantonio? That guy's a hack "Philly" guy who does nothing but report dirt on this team. Even Stephen A. Smith thinks that guy lacks substance. I highly, highly doubt Kolb is being shopped. This team has never bet the farm on a 30+ year old player - Not McNabb, not Westbrook, not Vincent, not Taylor and certainly not Vick. If anything, Vick is the guy on the block. Personally, I'd trade him while his value is high anyway. It has to be Kolb's team sometime, and I happen to like Kafka a lot as a potential starter in the NFL anyway.

You are correct that we will find out if this team is for real over the next 5-6 weeks. But Atlanta was supposed to be one of the better teams, so I'm cautiously optimistic as I always am with the Birds.

I would have to agree with trading Vick over Kolb. Kolb is younger and more of a pocket QB, which they could use with the playmakers they have on offense.

The Eagles need both QBs as of now and the trade deadline is Oct. 19 I believe.

I would LOVE to see them finish below 500. I hate their GM and I don't like Norv either.
Well, we all pretty much hate the GM and we haven't had a popular coach since Bobby Ross. Personally, I think a bad year would be good for the team overall in the long run.

Haha, penalty just cost the Cowboys 50 yards. Neither team wants to win the Panic Bowl. Just sloppy play all around. I guess that's why they're both 1-3 right now.

Edit: And now with the Romo INT.

Yes! A Pick!

Knowing Favre he'll probably throw it right back to them. :(

I'm not sure why they were throwing the ball on 3rd and 1 anyway. They converted 5 times on that with Barber running. Now they get rocked by the showing blitz and then dropping back into the hot route.

Whoa, boy, pass interference. Dodgy, but I'll take it.

Once again, dallas "outplays" the other team, but thanks to a multitude of penalties and turnovers (and special teams fuck ups), they'll lose the game
