***NFL WEEK 2 THREAD***

I figured we could do this like it was a television show, instead of one big thread that gets muddled with thousands of posts, each Tuesday someone could create a new thread for that weeks NFL discussion.

I'm assuming that this is going to contain a lot of Tom Brady talk...personally as a Pats fan I can't even describe how I feel right now. They've always been my favorite team, more than the sox even; the moment they beat the rams in that first superbowl was the happiest of my life, and I absolutely mean that. That season started out with Drew Bledsoe getting hammered by Mo Lewis and me figuring 'great, this tom brady guy is our QB now....well at least we'll have the first overall pick'....The pats DO have the easiest schedule in the league, and the rest of their team is pretty kickass still, and the AFC looks weak to me...so we'll see.

yea, we should win this game. Our defense looked solid in week 1, and although our offense was good (statistically speaking), we got lucky on a 40yard run with Flacco and a reverse....none of which will ever happen again.

Defense wins games though

yeah, your top FOUR receivers are out??? Are you in decent shape...you should be able to make the practice squad at least.

i am a packer fan and am excited for what the season holds with aaron rodgers at the helm. last night was an exciting game and i look forward to the rest of the season. i am very sad that tom brady is down for the count. it makes the game a little less exciting when one of the best gets hurt. like him or hate him he is fun to watch because he is so good. it is also kind of crazy how many injuries have hit many different teams so far this season. it will definitely make it an interesting year.

I have lost all faith in this guy, but..... If he HAS to work for his money, he will perform big. Just don't sign him without some sort performance clause in his contract.

Well with nate burleson now out for the season we are fucked on many levels. He was a damn fine returner on ST. We need to find some receivers ASAP!

Brady being out really opens up that division for Favre though. Love him or hate him, he's got a much better chance now over there on the east coast (I still hope he fails)

I hate you. The packers go from a HOF QB for 17 years, to a guy who looks legit. The pats probably have another HOF'er on the bench that will slide right in for Brady.

And the bears? We have neckbeard who can't throw, run, or do anything other than "not screw up". 22+ years since a decent QB, ridiculous.

That's not ridiculous... that's the Bears!
Go Pack!
