oh god, cbs going into the "troubles" the pats had the face this year.

they lost no need to give reasons.

Dude, c'mon. They didn't have enough time to film commercials! That's why they couldn't get it together for the playoffs.

The Patriots were a dynasty, winning 3 out of 4 = Dynasty.

the fact that you say that means they were not a dynasty. you said "the patriots were a dynasty". if they truly were a dynasty then it would not be over. they could be 4 out of 6. i will give credit to the great team that they were/are but a dynasty lasts much longer.

Dynasties don't last forever. Hell, if the Pats win it again next year, they would tie the Steelers as the best Dynasty of all-time (which I would give the Pats the edge because of the Salary Cap era).

Why do homers always throw in the "salary cap era so they're the best dynasty" line?
Granted most pats fans just sprouted out of nowhere in the past 5 years so I wouldn't expect them to know much about the NFL before the year 2000.

It's an opinion so it can't be proven wrong or right.

It sure would be nice if atleast Miami could get good again so we can stop seeing this team get a free 6 wins and that much closer to home field advantage. It's pretty clear by the record the Pats are great at home, just as the Broncos are.

I don't think the Pats choked, they just got beat, fair and square. They still did better than i thought they would this year.

LOL, another dynasty bites the dust <first USC, now this>.

At least NE did truly win two in a row, unlike USC "pretend" to do so.

Watch out NE, here come Miami Dolphins in 06.

Edit: BTW, Miami beat Denver this season and closed out the season with 6 wins in a row.

Finally, we can get off the Tom Brady and the Patriots lovefest

Thank God.

Yep. And the USC lovefest is over too. Face it folks, there is too much parity for there to be a "dynasty" in Football these days. Sure, you will have the occasional team and coach put together a streak, but you won't have anyone winning multiple Super Bowls in a row on a regular basis. Just like how the 49ers dominated in the 80's and 90's -- New England played some dominate ball in the 00's. However, it doesn't make either one a dynasty. 🙂

*cough* you forgot the Dallas Cowboyds *Cough*

Ah Ah Ah Choootheyweredefinatelymoreofadynastythenanyotherteamanywaysespeciallyoverthe49ersoooooooooo

man anybody got some cold medicine? 😛

You have to excuse him, his daddy just introduced him to football this season.

Yay, Pats lose! Yes, I'm a bitter Raiders fan who's only solace this year is that their conference rival knocked the hated Patriots out of Superbowl contention. 😀

The Pats definatelty outplayed the Broncos....but they also turned it over like no ones business.....The turn overs kill you....and you can't make those mistakes....

As for the calls....it seemed that the officials did make bad calls...but Brady also made a bad call when he threw in the for a TD only to get an INT. Brady did well, and the Broncos defense could not stop him, but on every drive, the turn overs kept killing them. Infact, weren't all the Denver points on turn overs? It just showed how much Brady carried that team....and a team who made turn overs like that just do not deserve to win.

You and your stuffed animals keep telling yourselves that.

ummm...Pats rushed better and had more offensive yards.....It was turn overs that killed them....and the only reason why the Broncos had more time of possension was because they kept running down the clock.

I am not making excuses for the Pats sloppy plays, but that def. pass interference was definitely the wrong call. The sideline judge who was right there did not throw the flag, but the guy in the middle of the endzone calls it. Samuel was looking back at the ball when Lelie grabs his shoulder; off. pass interference should have been called if anything.

All those yards don't mean sh1t if you can't get in the end-zone. Yep, 420 yards and they got a TD and a pair of FGs. The Pats definitely played better. Oh, btw, the Pats only had 79 yards rushing to the Broncos 96.

The reason the patriots had more yard than the Broncos was that they had to make more yards to get to the endzone. The average starting line for the patriots was their 17. The Broncos had an average starting line at the their 40. With the exception of a few big plays by the patriots that gained them big yards the Denver defense did contain the brady bunch.

No. Sorry, you are wrong. They were not a dynasty.

You are quite wrong, sir. The following are the dynasties as defined by EVERYONE:

Green Bay '61-'67 won five over seven years
Steelers '74-'79 won four over six years
49ers '81-'89 won four over nine years
Cowboys '92-'95 won three over four years

As you can see, you are clearly wrong in saying the Patriots are not a dynasty. They are by already set standards. Same as the Cowboys, and they can still equal the Steelers and easily beat the 49ers. Unless you want to go and contest these already established dynasties...

That's all that matters. Denver's D outplayed "Brady" (what a one-dimensional team). If the D outplays the offense, you'll win every time.

yep, defense wins championships. Go BRONCOS!!!!

Patriots didn't deserve to win the game.

That being said, these officials didn't want the Patriots to move on. When a back judge 30 YARDS AWAY FROM THE PLAY overrules the sidejudge on a pass interference call, you know how the game is going to be officiated.

Im a devoted patriots fan, and i will agree on the bad refs

but im also humble enough to realize the Pats got beat. The only thing that pisses me off is they beat themselves.
The broncos are good and all, but they didnt have one single score from thier own, legit drive (ie, from a scoring kickoff or start of quarter.) All of thier oppurtunities came when the Pats fumbled (well, the one came from a BS call) and they recovered inside the 50 everytime.

The first half was a very good game. But the second sucked in that the Pats basically handed the game to the Broncos............they didnt make them fight for it.
🙁

O well, i looked forward to next year when they can finally rest everyone up and have a 100% team again (and to see what Bruschi can do WITHOUT a hole in his heart and be able to practice the whole summer and play in pre-season 😉 )

EVERYONE are Sheeps.

Call the Romanoff's, they will tell you what a real "dynasty" is. The media is a bunch of idiots. The Cowboys are a dynasty because they have come back to the superbowl and won over many generations of players.

Peter the Great didn't resurrect and relead Russia, that went to Elizibeth and Catherine.. etc etc..
